Logpile v1.1.0 — "The Sanctuary Update"

Logpile v1.1.0 shifts the focus from passive collection indexing to active, intentional library management. This release introduces the persistent Sanctuary state machine, legitimate multi-store edition deduplication, five distinct visual layouts, and ten dynamic color palettes.

What's New in v1.1.0

1. The Sanctuary State Machine

  • Guilt-Free Backlog Taxonomy: Categorize titles into four states: Playing (active rotation), On Pause (shelved without guilt), Completed (beaten/finished), and Unplayed (vault backlog).
  • Filter Views: Filter your collection by active backlog state from the top library toolbar.
  • SQLite Persistence: Status changes save immediately to your local database schema with zero cloud dependencies.

2. Five Dynamic Layout Modes

  • Cinematic: High-impact, theater-grade hero art tailored for story-driven single-player epics.
GOT - DC
  • Kinetic: Bold, high-energy layout built for fast action and arcade-style navigation.
MSM-Re
  • Playful: Warm, rounded aesthetic with vibrant card treatments.
Stray
  • Atmospheric: Mood-focused layout for deep RPGs, immersive sims, and survival titles.
TW3-Re
  • Competitive: Clean, high-density presentation with performance-focused metadata for esports and tactical shooters.
Valorant

3. Ten Built-In Color Palettes

  • Seamlessly swap between 10 curated CSS design themes (The Monolith, The Brutalist Sanctuary, The Eerie Calm, The Wasteland Horizon, The System Glitch, The Overgrown Ruins, The Neon Syndicate, The Submerged Base, The Ash & Ember, and The Sterile Lab).
  • All UI primitives—including status badges, hover rings, and checkmarks—dynamically inherit palette accent tokens.

4. Anti-Double-Dip Deduplication

  • Automatically unifies overlapping licenses across Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG.
  • Prioritizes the highest-tier edition owned (Game of the Year, Director's Cut, Complete Edition) into a single master card while retaining multi-store launch paths.

5. Silent Library Quarantine

  • Automatically detects and isolates dedicated server binaries, benchmark utilities, hardware test tools, and playable demos so they do not clutter your primary game grid.

Fixes & Performance Improvements

  • Popover Stacking & Positioning: Resolved an overflow: hidden container clipping issue by converting action dropdowns to upward-opening popovers (bottom: 100%) with correct z-index stacking.
  • In-Place Windows Upgrade: Installer setup cleanly detects existing per-user directories (including custom non-C: drive installations) and updates binaries in place without altering user libraries.
  • Native Electron 32 Runtime: Rebuilt native SQLite C++ bindings against Electron v32.3.3 for faster local queries and launch times.

Good to know

  • Windows only. The installer is unsigned, so SmartScreen may warn: click "More info", then "Run anyway".
  • Your data is stored in a logpile_data folder inside the install folder. Updating over an existing install keeps it. Uninstalling asks whether to keep it.
  • API keys are stored as plain text in the local database. Do not share your database or backup files.
  • This version uses Electron 32, which no longer receives security updates. An upgrade is planned for 1.0.1.
