DOWNLOAD THE APK — Android 8.0+, install the APK and allow "Unknown sources".
Convx 1.4 — in-app updates are fixed (direct APK downloads, no more browser redirect), all font controls now live in one place, plus everything from 1.3: bundled App Fonts, Auto-DJ mixing, a full-screen lyrics overhaul, waveform seeking in the mini player, a redesigned Liquid Glass system, and a large performance pass.
Updates & Fonts (Fixed)
- In-app updates fixed: Check for updates now finds Convx's actual APK and downloads it directly — no more bouncing to the browser.
- All font controls in one place — Settings → Appearance → App Font: the App Font picker, the Display font toggle, and the Custom font installer.
App Fonts (New)
- Choose a bundled typeface for the app's display text: Google Sans, Sans Flex, Outfit, or Plus Jakarta Sans (Settings → Appearance → App Font), with a live typography preview.
- Choose System Default to use the system font, or a custom-installed font.
Auto-DJ Mixing (New)
- Auto-DJ Mixing plays songs back-to-back with tempo-matched crossfades: the incoming song's speed is gently nudged to match the outgoing one while they blend, so the mix stays locked to a beat.
- How to use: Settings → Player → turn on Crossfade first, then enable Auto-DJ Mixing. It uses on-device BPM detection (no internet) and falls back to a plain crossfade when a song's tempo can't be detected or is too far off.
Full-Screen Lyrics Overhaul
- New dedicated ArchiveTune-style full-screen lyrics presentation.
- One-tap flow: Settings → Player → One-tap full-screen lyrics.
- Player controls collapse to the top (or bottom, your choice): Settings → Player → Collapse controls upward.
- Toggleable playback-controls position and play/pause overlay on the artwork; swipe the artist/song name to change tracks.
Player & Mini Player
- Waveform seek bar in the mini player (Settings → Player → Mini player waveform seek bar).
- Multi-icon mini bar toggle (shuffle/prev/play/next/repeat/lyrics/queue).
- Hide the volume bar in the player menu; floating pill mini player toggle; iPad-style capped-width mini player on tablets.
- Codec badge no longer goes stale after crossfade.
Liquid Glass & Navigation
- Redesigned glass system: copy-on-enable settings, independent nav-bar vs mini-bar dials (blur/vibrancy/lens), per-element color/surface/text overrides — all under Settings → Liquid Glass.
- Collapsible tablet sidebar with its own glass tuning.
- Floating pill nav bar always on, with a new inline search bar (iOS-style).
Icons, Themes & Library
- Icon set rescraped from Lucide (SF-Symbols style), tab bar on the Accord icon pack.
- Theme settings overhaul: light-theme audit + Library background modes (Settings → Appearance).
- Pull-to-refresh on playlists and library lists.
Audio Reliability Fixes
- Fixed downloaded FLAC songs unplayable with lossless/Spine toggles on.
- Fixed lossless/Atmos dropouts (recovers to standard audio); stopped chunk-slicing of Tidal/Spine lossless streams (premature auto-skip).
- Fixed playlist crash and Room migration 35→36 crash on upgrade.
- No more spurious error reports when a signed-in account's info can't be refreshed after a token change.
Performance
- Stopped app-wide idle redraw; cheaper glass transitions; off-main sorting; remembered per-item DAO flows; coalesced stats writes.

- Detailed Technical Quality Badge: Updated the player to display live technical details (Codec • Bitrate • kHz) for both online and local songs. It correctly identifies Dolby Atmos, FLAC, OPUS, and AAC.
- Fixed Local Player Metadata: Resolved the issue where local songs with missing internal tags showed as "Unknown." The app now correctly falls back to system-level information to show the song title and artist.
- Smart Dolby Atmos Fallback: Implemented a hardware check that verifies if your phone can actually decode Dolby Atmos (EAC3). If support is missing, the app automatically switches to Lossless FLAC or high-quality audio instead of throwing an error.
- Audio Stability Fixes:
◦ Increased the stream chunk size to 10MB (from 512KB) to prevent audio cut-offs.
◦ Tuned the buffer management to store up to 30 seconds of audio minimum, ensuring smooth playback on variable connections.
