KVTools v0.1.0 — RVTools for KubeVirt

Initial release of KVTools, a standalone CLI utility to extract, audit, and export comprehensive KubeVirt cluster inventory to multi-tab Excel (.xlsx), JSON, CSV, or formatted terminal tables.

Compatible with SUSE Harvester, SUSE Virtualization, OpenShift Virtualization, and upstream KubeVirt.

Key Features

  • 📑 13 Multi-Tab Inventory Sheets: kvInfo, kvCPU, kvMemory, kvDisk, kvPartition, kvNetwork, kvCD, kvSnapshot, kvGuestAgent, kvNode, kvStoragePool, kvHardware, and kvHealth.
  • 🔍 kvHealth Engine: 16 built-in deterministic audit rules detecting live migration blockers, storage zombies, snapshot sprawl, CFS scheduler throttling risks, guest low disk space, and node pressure.
  • ⚡ Concurrent Collection & Worker Pools: Parallel querying of cluster resources and QEMU guest agent subresources (/guestosinfo, /filesystemlist).
  • 🔄 Multi-Cluster Merging: kvtools merge <file1.xlsx> <file2.xlsx> -o merged.xlsx to combine multiple cluster exports into a single consolidated report.
  • 📦 Zero Dependencies: Pure static Go binary with no runtime dependencies.
