Anthropic's ToS shift on using Pro/Max OAuth w/ Craft Agents?

Good day, I just read an update from Anthropic regarding their shift away from permitting use of Pro/Max OAuth with 3rd party AgentSDK. Is it recommended that I transition over to using API Key?

Nobody knows for 100% because Anthropic won't clarify but we are on the better end because we use the Agent SDK, and they say that is permitted...

Has anyone been banned by Anthropic for using Craft Agent? I really like Craft Agent and want to use my Claude subscription here 🥲

We have been using Claude Max heavily, so far no issues.

I joined with Claude Pro account but kept hitting Limit errors - despite limit having been reset. I had to switch to API account for further usage - but that ended up costing me ~$3 / ask. I have two questions

1. What could be the reason for Limit Errors with Claude Pro?
2. What could be the reason for high costs? On checking token-usage with Craft, the estimated cost was ~10% of the actual cost.

i'm not a dev and not affiliated with Craft nor Anthropic, but I have leveraged craft agents using Claude fairly heavily and there are two things that could be happening...

Shortly after Craft Agents went live (and OpenClaw) Anthropic halted subscription plan users ability to leverage third party tools by logging in. This is most likely the cause for the errors.

The cost per prompt issue could be a bit more complex but more than likely is the result of a number of factors that are stacking on each other.

1. time of day (yes peak hours will drastically affect usage costs. Try to schedule heavier usage or complex tool call usage for off peak hours (check anthropic's latest update on this window)
2. in Claude's API configuration settings, there are a few controls that can dramatically affect the token cost, review/revisit these and tune accordingly. the two that stand out initially are the default model used, and the token limits. below are a couple of resources that helped me quite a bit:
