Image transforms using fit=cover instead of crop

Description

The focal point does not seem to be working with image transforms, this seemed to starting happening very recently.

On local dev, the image crop behavior is using the focal point, but on any Craft Cloud environment, the cropped image does not output the same.

Steps to reproduce

1. Generate image transform with crop mode and set the format to webp.
2. The crop does not take into account the set focal point.

Looking at the generated URL it appears the fit mode is set to cover, even though crop mode is set by calling a transform called "listingCard" via asset.getUrl('listingCard'), but as cover is used the focal point is ignored.

If I do something like:

This seems to set crop mode with the Craft Cloud image transforms, this however shouldn't be needed given the named transform already configured for crop mode?

When you set it with crop like this, does the crop and focal point end up correctly?

Correct. Being explicit with the mode seems to work, but this shouldn't in theory be needed, given the original named transform is set to crop.

This was working until recently, but not sure why it suddenly doesn't. I know there was a recent change with the Image Transformer class that allows for all Cloudflare properties to be passed, is this related?

@timkelty A built is going up on our staging environment now and I'll confirm.

I have removed mode: 'crop' from a named transform as it should already be applied and deployed the 3.x-dev release constrait in composer.

Yep. FWIW, you still might see something besides crop in the URL – but that is because Craft's mode !== Cloudflare's fit, so we do some translation.

The real problem was focal points were getting lost unintentionally.

Thanks for clarifying that behaviour, as I was seeing the fit parameter but it did seem to still crop, so makes sense.

The deployment completed and it appears resolved, as the focal point is maintained without having to use mode: 'crop' in the transform code.
