Release list
GetVect 0.1.8
GetVect 0.1.8
Raster → vector, on your machine. Drop in a PNG, JPEG or BMP; get back SVG, EPS, DXF, PDF or PNG.
macOS, Apple Silicon — download GetVect-0.1.8-arm64.dmg.
Windows, x64 — download GetVect-0.1.8-x64.exe.
Signing
macOS is signed and notarized. The dmg carries an Apple Developer ID signature and
a stapled notarization ticket, so it opens with no Gatekeeper warning. Check it
yourself rather than taking our word for it:
spctl -a -t install -vv GetVect-0.1.8-arm64.dmg # accepted / source=Notarized Developer ID
codesign -dvvv /Applications/GetVect.app # TeamIdentifier=6UV93L24YL
Windows is not signed. There is no Authenticode certificate, so SmartScreen shows
"Windows protected your PC" — choose More info, then Run anyway. The installer
is per-user and never asks for administrator rights.
Updates
macOS installs updates in place. Because the build is signed, the app can verify
and apply a new version itself: it downloads in the background, then offers
Restart. Choosing it swaps the app and reopens on the new version.
Windows tells you and does not install. Without an Authenticode certificate the
install step cannot be verified, so it links you to the release instead.
Either way it is one check per launch, no identifier is sent, and
GETVECT_NO_UPDATE_CHECK=1 turns it off entirely — before any request, on both
platforms.
Network
Two network touchpoints, both in your control: optional AI Enhance, and a
once-per-launch update check against GitHub Releases (disable with
GETVECT_NO_UPDATE_CHECK=1). Everything else — ingest, tracing, preview and every
export — runs offline.

"Windows protected your PC" — choose More info, then Run anyway. The installer

GetVect still tells you about a new version rather than installing one; the in-app
updater switches on once it has been exercised end to end against a signed release.

GetVect 0.1.1
GetVect 0.1.1
Raster → vector, on your machine. Drop in a PNG, JPEG or BMP; get back SVG, EPS, DXF, PDF or PNG.
macOS, Apple Silicon — download GetVect-0.1.1-arm64.dmg.
Windows, x64 — download GetVect-0.1.1-x64.exe.
These builds are not signed
There is no Developer ID certificate and no Authenticode certificate behind them yet.
On macOS the app is quarantined on first launch. Either right-click it in Applications
and choose Open, or:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/GetVect.app
On Windows, SmartScreen shows "Windows protected your PC". Choose More info, then
Run anyway. The installer is per-user and never asks for administrator rights.
The same fact is why GetVect will tell you about a new version rather than install
one: an unsigned app cannot reliably update itself in place.
