Deadlock Dolly v0.6.76-alpha

0.6.76-alpha

  • Bone Picker opens from the desktop again. Before: starting the first bone camera from the desktop failed with start_attached_view() missing 1 required keyword-only argument: 'publish'. After: the desktop camera controls and Cancel button supply the same editor publication callback as the in-game panel, so the Bone Picker opens and closes normally.

  • A refused launch names the process that is blocking it. Before: Dolly only said "Deadlock is already running", even when the visible game was closed and a hidden or different-install process was the cause. After: the error reports the PID, executable path, Windows session and visible window, and says when that process is from a different installation than the one selected in Dolly.

  • Stuck effects and earlier fixes remain. Before: changing replay frames could leave Violet's ink, decals and screen post-processing behind, mixed skin packs could be skipped, and the 6819 hotfix blocked normal editing. After: Clear stuck effects, automatic mixed skin-pack loading, preserved audio levels, the authored campath range and the 6819 camera/roster fixes all remain.

Deadlock Dolly v0.6.75-alpha

0.6.75-alpha

  • Stuck replay effects clear in one click. Before: changing replay frames could leave Violet's paint, decals and screen post-processing from the old frame visible, and the Clear ragdolls button only removed ragdolls. After: the Scene appearance button is now Clear stuck effects and clears ragdolls, decals, screen post-processing and Violet's ink constructs without moving the camera or changing playback speed.

  • Mixed skin packs still load automatically. Before: a skin pack that also contained interface, shader or post-processing files was skipped as a whole, so the VPK never registered. After: Dolly recognizes reviewed model, map, material, animation, scene and audio content inside the mixed mount and carries the pack automatically; pure UI/render packs are still refused.

  • Audio, campath and 6819 fixes remain. Before: Dolly's isolated config reset audio levels, a longer effect track could leave an empty campath timeline tail, and the 6819 hotfix blocked normal editing. After: reviewed volume/mute/voip levels are carried, the campath timeline fits the authored camera range, and the 6819 camera, roster, follow, seek and native attach fixes remain.

Deadlock Dolly v0.6.74-alpha

0.6.74-alpha

  • Skin packs load without a hidden setting. The mixed-pack checkbox remains for packs with no recognized skin content.

  • Audio and campath timeline fixes remain. Before: Dolly's isolated config reset audio levels, and a longer effect track could leave an empty campath timeline tail that looked like an extra camera. After: the active profile's reviewed volume/mute/voip levels are carried, and the campath timeline fits the authored camera range.

  • 6819 camera and attach fixes remain. Before: the 6819 hotfix and empty player roster blocked normal editing. After: the 6819 camera, preload, follow, seek, confetti, stock provenance and native attach/bones roster fixes remain in this build.

Deadlock Dolly v0.6.73-alpha

0.6.73-alpha

  • Mixed skin packs can load in Dolly. Before: a skin pack that also contained interface, shader or post-processing files was skipped as a whole, so the skins never appeared. After: enable Load mixed mod packs in Settings and the pack is carried into the editing session; it stays off by default because those extra files can change captures or override Dolly's interface hiding.

  • Your audio levels stay yours. Before: Dolly's isolated editing configuration started with empty audio convars, so a quiet game mix could come back at default/max volume. After: Dolly copies the active profile's reviewed volume, mute and voip levels into the editing session while keeping performance and interface settings isolated.

  • The campath timeline no longer grows an empty tail. Before: after playback or recording, the camera timeline could fit the longer effect-track duration, leaving a zoomed-out empty end that looked like an extra camera. After: it fits the authored camera range, so only real cameras remain on the path timeline.

  • 6819 camera and attach fixes remain. Before: the 6819 hotfix and empty player roster blocked normal editing. After: the 6819 camera, preload, follow, seek, confetti and native attach/bones roster fixes from 0.6.72 remain in this build.

Deadlock Dolly v0.6.72-alpha

0.6.72-alpha

  • Works with Deadlock build 6819. Before: after the 6819 hotfix, Dolly refused the new client and could not initialize its editor. After: Dolly recognizes 6819, initializes the unlocker, loads a replay and opens the paused camera editor normally; the reviewed 6814/6815/6817 builds remain supported.

  • Camera, follow and effects refreshed. Before: the 6819 hotfix moved the camera, preload, follow, gameplay-effect and particle wrappers, so the 6817 anchors and unlocker tuple no longer matched. After: Dolly uses the reviewed 6819 client profile, follow anchors, observer schema, confetti row and unlocker tuple; replays recorded on 6812/6813 keep working.

  • Attach and bones keep their player list. Before: the native player roster could be empty, so attach/bones reported that no players were in the loaded replay. After: Dolly reads the reviewed entity list and falls back to an identity scan, so the player list fills and attach/bones works.

Deadlock Dolly v0.6.71-alpha

0.6.71-alpha

  • Works with Deadlock builds 6814, 6815 and 6817. Before: after the 6814/6815/6817 updates, Dolly could not initialize its editor on the new builds. After: Dolly recognizes them, initializes the unlocker, loads a replay and opens the paused camera editor normally.

  • Camera, follow and effects refreshed. Before: the 6814 update moved the camera/preload/follow code and particle wrappers, and the previous anchors would fail or misbehave. After: Dolly uses the reviewed 6814/6815/6817 client profile, follow anchors, observer schema and unlocker table; replays recorded on 6812/6813 keep working.

  • Attach and bones can find players again. Before: the player roster was empty on 6817, so attach/bones reported that no players were in the loaded replay. After: Dolly reads the reviewed entity list and falls back to an identity scan, so the player list fills and attach/bones works.

Deadlock Dolly 0.6.70

0.6.70-alpha

  • Old replays no longer crash on seek. Before: seeking a replay recorded before Deadlock build 6801 could crash the game and leave Dolly showing "The console is disconnected. Use Connect after Deadlock finishes loading." After: Dolly refuses the seek before sending it, keeps the game running, and explains that the replay is from an older build. Use a replay recorded on 6812 or 6813, or play the old replay from the start without seeking.

  • Crashes during a seek are named as crashes. Before: when the game died just as the console socket dropped, Dolly blamed the console. After: Dolly waits briefly for the game process and reports the actual exit code and crash dump module/offset.

Deadlock Dolly v0.6.69-alpha

0.6.69-alpha

  • Player following works on current builds. Before: selecting a player in the replay timeline could fail with "The selected player controller changed. Select the player again." or an empty-roster message. After: Dolly follows the selected player on Deadlock 6813, using the verified live identity when the player roster is unavailable.

  • Early ticks explain themselves. Before: selecting a player before the match had spawned heroes showed the same controller error. After: Dolly says the player has no hero at this tick, leaves the camera unchanged, and asks you to scrub forward to the match start and select again.

  • Non-ASCII install paths open normally. Before: when Dolly or the Windows profile was under a non-ASCII folder (for example a Cyrillic OneDrive folder), the editing configuration check failed with "Deadlock's USRLOCAL search path could not be confirmed" and the replay never opened. After: Dolly decodes the console path with the active Windows code page, so the check passes and the replay opens normally.

@cravvnn cravvnn released this 22 Oct 05:18

Deadlock Dolly v0.6.68-alpha

0.6.68-alpha

  • Works with Deadlock build 6813. Before: the game updated to 6813 and Dolly could not start an editing session on it. After: Dolly recognizes 6813, initializes the unlocker, loads a replay and opens the paused camera editor normally.

  • Deadlock crashes are reported as crashes. Before: when Deadlock crashed while Dolly was running a console command, Dolly showed "The console is disconnected. Use Connect after Deadlock finishes loading." After: Dolly reports the game's exit code and says the selected replay may be incompatible with the installed build, then points to a replay recorded on this build.

  • Crash details are in the error. Before: finding the faulting module and offset required exporting diagnostics and reading the crash dump separately. After: the error names the newest crash dump's faulting module, offset and read address.

@cravvnn cravvnn released this 22 Oct 02:23

Deadlock Dolly v0.6.67-alpha

0.6.67-alpha

  • Works with Deadlock build 6812. Before: the game updated to 6812 and Dolly could not start an editing session on it. After: Dolly recognizes 6812, initializes the unlocker, loads a replay and opens the paused camera editor normally.

  • Unsupported encoders are refused safely. Before: choosing Software H.264 (x264) with the bundled FFmpeg could stop the recorder on its first frame and leave the game held. After: Dolly checks the configured FFmpeg before recording, refuses encoders it cannot provide, and restores the game if a recorder fails.

  • One format for the whole take. Before: the format came only from the encoder, layer takes could fail with "must end in .mkv", and a typed extension was rejected after a shot was prepared. After: one Format choice (MP4, MKV or MOV) sets the color take and every layer take, the mattes and audit follow it, and an incompatible encoder switches to Auto.

  • Fewer interrupted takes. Before: a single console stall or a brief disk slowdown could throw away a whole export or Players take. After: one transient console reply is retried, and a refused Players frame is retried for a short bounded window before stopping.
