Creative Commons Australian Chapter Guidelines

The Creative Commons Australian Chapter is governed by consensus; with ‘Network Members’ and ‘Country Contributors’, (collectively referred to as ‘Country Participants’), making decisions in an open and transparent way. The consensus involves ensuring all voices are heard and considered before final decisions are made. When appropriate, decisions will be made by having Country Participants vote however, final determination of decisions rests with the Australian Chapter Lead. In situations of conflict within the Chapter, matters will be referred to the Global Network Council’s Dispute Resolution Committee.

There are leadership roles within Creative Commons Australia held by Network Members, these leaders will oversee the advocacy, messaging, and advice provided in specific areas of Creative Commons’ activities.

Work of the Creative Commons Australian Chapter will seek to further the CCGN Strategy and implement the mission and vision of Creative Commons in Australia.

All Country Participants will abide by the Charter (including the Code of Conduct and the policies contained and referenced therein) and, especially, the Chapter Standards and Guidelines.
