Energy for every song on the timeline ⚡

• Songs without an energy rating (for example songs imported from rekordbox, which doesn't rate energy) get one automatically a few seconds after you put them on the timeline. The rating shows in the library's Energy column too. Their beat grid and key stay as they are.
• Songs from Lexicon now show how their energy rises and falls (intro, breakdowns, drops), instead of one flat block.

Fix

• Import from Rekordbox XML… now opens the file chooser in your Documents folder (or the folder of the XML you used last). On Windows it used to open in a system folder.

rekordbox XML import, like Lexicon 🎛️

• Import from Rekordbox XML… (File menu, or right-click Rekordbox XML in the sidebar) now opens your rekordbox library in place, just like Lexicon: the song count shows next to Rekordbox XML, and its playlists and folders open beneath it.
• A big XML shows "Loading 42%" with a progress bar while it is read, instead of nothing.
• Before you have picked a file, clicking Rekordbox XML asks you for it.
• A file that isn't a rekordbox XML gets a clear message.
• The old way, copying every rekordbox song into your Music Collection, is still there as Copy Rekordbox XML into Music Collection….

Find Duplicates 🔁

• New Duplicates under Music Collection: songs that are in your collection more than once (same artist and title, same length), side by side with the best copy first (WAV/AIFF/FLAC before MP3, then the higher bitrate).
• Select extra copies selects every copy except the best one, ready for Remove from Library or Delete from Disk.

Smart Playlist generator ⚙️

• Right-click Smart Playlists → Generate Smart Playlists: one playlist per genre, per key or per energy level, from your collection, Lexicon, rekordbox or all of them, in one go.
• Delete Generated Smart Playlists removes them all again.

Small comforts

• The sidebar marks every playlist and smart playlist that contains the selected song.
• Each list remembers its sort, scroll position and selected song while GlideMix runs.
• The Energy column reads "Energy 7".

Fixes and more

• A folder added in Preferences → Music library is scanned and analysed right away (before, its songs came in at the next start).
• A newly analysed song's cue markers now show at once (they needed a restart).
• Energy is closer to Lexicon's ratings for high-energy songs.
• New glidemix.com website: Help → Help and FAQ and Help → GlideMix website.

Energy ⚡

• New Energy column right after BPM: every song rated Energy 1–10, like Mixed In Key and Lexicon. Sort by it, and use it in Smart Playlists ("Energy 7–9 and BPM 124–128").
• Lexicon songs show Lexicon's own energy. Your Music Collection songs get theirs from GlideMix's analysis, tuned to agree with Lexicon's ratings (songs analysed before this version: press Analyze once).
• ENERGY button next to TEMPO: the energy of the whole mix drawn behind the tempo line, blue (calm) to red (peak). See how your set builds, where it drops, and where a breakdown or a long fade lets it sag.

Watch folders 📂

• The music folders in Preferences → Music library are now watched while GlideMix runs: copy or download a song into one and it appears in your Music Collection a few seconds later.
• New songs are analysed automatically (BPM, key, beat grid, phrases, energy). Both can be switched off in Preferences.

Cue points

• The waveforms in the library now show each song's cue points, like rekordbox: hot cues A, B, C… in their colours and memory cues along the bottom.
• Export to rekordbox XML gives songs without cue points hot cues where their phrases start (Intro, Up, Chorus, Down, Outro), on the beat grid, plus memory cues, so they arrive on CDJs ready to play.

Smart Playlists ⚙️

• New Smart Playlists in the library sidebar: playlists that fill themselves from rules, like rekordbox's Intelligent Playlists and Lexicon's Smartlists.
• Pick from your Music Collection, Lexicon, rekordbox XML or all of them. Match all or any rules, with "or…" alternatives.
• Rules for genre, artist, title, comment, BPM, key, rating, color, year, length, date added, last played, play count, playlist and more.
• DJ extras: Key "mixes with" (harmonic) and BPM "within ±%" (half and double tempo count too).
• "Only the 50 newest", a live count while you edit, and Duplicate as Playlist.

Export to Folder

• Right-click any playlist (your own, smart, Lexicon or rekordbox) → Export to Folder…: the songs copied in order, plus a track list (.txt) and an .m3u8 for players and USB sticks.

Export to rekordbox XML

• Right-click Music Collection → Export to rekordbox XML…: tracks with tags, stars, colors and beat grids (cue points for Lexicon songs), your playlist folders and smart playlists, ready to import into rekordbox or Lexicon. Their own databases are never touched.

Tracklist with every export

• Every exported mix now gets its tracklist beside it: a .txt with timestamps and Artist - Title, ready to paste into Mixcloud or your show notes, plus a .cue sheet. Times match the file, tempo changes included.

A friendlier demo

• The demo no longer goes silent. Instead, every 2 minutes a voice says "Glide Mix demo" over the music, so you hear every transition in full.
• Demo exports are MP3 at 96 kbps, up to 20 minutes. The export window shows it.
• A licence (€49, one-time) removes all of it.

Simpler automation recording

• The LATCH button is gone. ARM works as always: while the mix plays, turn any knob of any plugin and the move is written into its line; let go and the line plays on as it was.

Meters like a DJ mixer

• New installs start with gradient meters (green, yellow, red). Change the style any time in the meter settings.

How loud is your mix?

• After every export GlideMix tells you the loudness (LUFS), the true peak and the peak, and what Spotify, YouTube and Apple Music will do with it (they play music at about -14 LUFS).

Never clips, not even as an MP3

• The master limiter now watches the true peak, between the samples too, and looks 1.5 ms ahead so it glides down instead of jumping. Mixes stay under -1 dBTP, so an MP3 or AAC made from them doesn't distort. It works on everything: speakers, headphones (CUE), export and broadcast, after the ROOM and CUE faders.

Smoother tempo changes

• When two songs at different tempos overlap, the tempo now glides in an S-curve: it leaves the old tempo gently and settles gently into the new one, like a hand on the pitch fader. Right-click a point on the tempo line: Glide: straight or Glide: S-curve.

Fade shapes

• Preferences → Transitions: crossfades and fades get a Shape: equal power (as before), linear, S-curve, early or late.

Touch or Latch

• New LATCH button next to ARM. Off (Touch): when you let go of a knob, the line goes back to what it was. On: your last value keeps being written until you stop playback.
