Drag and drop by @crmne. Drag a song to a playlist in the sidebar to add it, or to Liked Songs to save it. Tracks can be reordered in your own playlists. Playlists can also be dragged to pin, unpin, or reorder them in the sidebar.
-
Personal Client IDs now work alongside the shared app. Requests supported by Spotify's Development Mode use your app, while the shared app handles Discover Weekly, editorial playlists, and other public playlists. Settings checks that both sessions use the same Spotify account. Thanks @TimotheFCN. (#55)
-
Lyrics from Spotify by @crmne. When Fastpotify is signed in for local playback, it tries Spotify first and falls back to LRCLIB when needed.
-
Playlist caching by @crmne. Playlists are cached on disk per account and snapshot ID, so long playlists reopen and sort much faster. The cache is invalidated when a playlist changes.
-
Persistent sorting by @crmne. Click a column heading to sort a playlist. The
#column uses the playlist's original order, sorts are restored after a restart, and playback follows the order shown on screen. -
Persistent shuffle by @crmne. Shuffle now applies to every playlist until it is turned off, including after switching playlists or restarting the app. Starting a shuffled playlist begins at a random track.
-
Pinned playlists by @crmne. Playlists can be pinned in the sidebar, and every sidebar playlist has a play button. (#26)
-
Collaborative playlist details by @crmne. Collaborative playlists show the contributors in the byline and an Added By column for each track. The column can also be sorted.
-
Resume on launch by @crmne. Fastpotify restores the last track and position when it starts again. (#30)
-
Remembered window and panels. Window size and position are restored (thanks @zHeuzy2). The queue and lyrics panels are resizable and remember their width (thanks @kveld9). Ctrl+B toggles the sidebar (thanks @jdubba1). (#45, #46, #48, #50)
-
More remote-control commands. The control channel now supports
shuffle on,repeat context,like,play-uri,transfer,devices, and raw fields for scripts and Stream Decks. Thanks @oyuh. (#58) -
Interface zoom by @crmne. Use Ctrl+Plus and Ctrl+Minus to change the scale. The setting is remembered and shown in Settings. (#43)
-
Keyboard shortcuts by @crmne. Press
?to open the full list. -
Audio quality labels by @crmne. Each quality option now shows its bitrate. (#62)
-
Player-bar context menu by @crmne. Right-click the current track to open the same menu available on track rows.
-
The account menu fits longer text, the Liked Songs cover is round, and its track count is kept during refreshes. Thanks @mikenoired.
Fixed
- Trackpad scrolling on Linux now continues smoothly after a flick, and mouse wheels scroll three lines per notch. (#32)
- Playback state updates immediately after a click instead of briefly reverting while Spotify catches up. The loading spinner also stays with the correct row. (#35)
- If audio decryption errors cause tracks to be skipped, Fastpotify reconnects the session once and reports the problem instead of skipping through the album.
- Playback requests made while the session reconnects after sleep are no longer lost.
- Row menus stay open while the pointer moves into them. (#63)
- Playlists with unexpected null fields can now open, and discography requests retry with a smaller page size when Spotify rejects fifty albums at once. (#38)
- An incorrect personal Client ID no longer leaves sign-in stuck. (#36)
- Spotify-owned playlists are no longer marked as collaborative. Duplicate label credits are combined, and missing Date Added values no longer display as the Unix epoch.
