This alpha fixes tag writing for files whose comments have no language set, and makes failures easier to report. It replaces 0.9.0-alpha.1, whose Traktor and M3U8 export are unchanged.

Fixed

• Tags can be written to files whose comments have no language. Many taggers store a comment's language as empty bytes, and every tag write to such a file failed with "invalid frame language found", including Find tags and analyzed BPM. Solco now marks the language as unknown and keeps the comment's text. By @crmne.
• A failed tag write says why. Activity and Tell us now include the reason for the first file that couldn't be written, with your home folder shown as ~, instead of only a count. By @crmne.
• The Tags status line no longer overlaps itself. In a narrow window, the summary ends in an ellipsis before the failed-lookup count and Try again. By @crmne.

Known limitations

• Traktor Pro 4 and Traktor on Windows are untested. Traktor Pro 3 does not import .m3u8 files; use the Traktor export instead.
• Traktor holds one tempo per track. A track whose tempo changes gets the closest single tempo, and the plan says how far its beats drift. Hot cues after H become memory cues, and cue colours don't travel.
• Exported playlists point at your music where it is on this computer. Another computer needs the music at the same paths.
• Importing the same tracks again in Traktor. Import another Collection never changes a track already in Traktor's collection. To bring changed cues for one playlist, use Import Playlist, which replaces those tracks' cues, including ones you made in Traktor.
• The Windows installer package has been tested on GitHub's Windows runners, not yet on a desktop machine. The setup program is still included for anyone who needs it.
• Beat analysis can still stutter on integrated graphics, as in 0.8.0-alpha.1.
• Mac requires Apple Silicon and macOS 13.4 or later. The minimum macOS version and Windows versions before 11 24H2 remain untested.

This is unfinished software. Keep a library backup and use spare media for initial exports. Local preparation needs no account or license key; Solco-funded playlist help requires an invite. This alpha has the fixed 30-day deadline shown above.
