Right now, when you go to your dashboard and right-click a chat message, you are presented with a static list of default options. These include "delete message", "mention", etc. as seen below in the Additional Context.
I propose that this list either be made extendable by the user for effects that target messages, or that a new collapsed item to this list titled "Run Effect >" is added which can contain effects that take messages as input.
The point of this change is to allow effects that target messages to be activated from the dashboard GUI by the streamer. For example, this change could allow a streamer to right click a message and click either "Send to Overlay" directly, or go to "Run Effect >" then "Send to Overlay", to simulate a command like !overlay [username] [text] without having to type in the username or text. Candidacy for this effect list could set via a setting on an effect, or within a general setting, so that users can create custom effects that take messages as input for this new list.
Additional context
I realized this FR while developing a Featured Chat overlay on my own setup. Right now, the only way I can determine the chatter's message to act as input is to do a !command. But this can be tedious. Being able to feature a chat right from the context of the message I want to feature would be a major upgrade.
(Edit: Sorry just to clarify, I do understand that the screenshot literally includes a "Quote Message" option like I mentioned in my solution section. I mean this feature request as an extension of that same logic to things that take messages as input and run effects. I edited my solution text above not to use quote as an example because I imagine requesting a feature that seemingly already exists will be confusing.)
