This binary update is strictly required for validator nodes only. If you are running a non-validator node (e.g., standard full node, seed, or RPC node), do not install this release and skip v1.7.9 entirely.
Cronos v1.7.9 is a targeted post-fork release designed to restore consensus integrity and state consistency across the validator set following a chain rollback.
Recommended Action
Validator Operators: Replace your node binary with v1.7.9 before bringing your node back online post-rollback.
All Other Node Operators: No action required. Maintain your current version until the next general release.
