Blocking People

Two tools, different strength:

Command What it does
/ignore name Relay hides everything from that person — on your Mac only. They don't know. /unignore name undoes it; /ignore alone lists who you're ignoring. Survives restarts.
/silence name The server itself stops delivering their messages to you (Undernet feature). Works even before messages reach Relay. /silence -name!*@* lifts it; /silence alone lists the server's masks.

Both are also in the right-click menu on any person in the member list.

Rule of thumb: /ignore is enough for noise. /silence is for harassment — it blocks them at the source, including private messages.
