Private Messages

Starting one

• Right-click a person anywhere → Message
• Or type /msg theirname hello — opens the chat and sends the first line
• If someone messages you first, the chat simply appears in your sidebar
• Nicknames are not case-sensitive — x and X are the same person, one chat

Who is this person?

Double-click any private chat in the sidebar — Relay runs /whois and prints who they are: their address, server, how long they've been idle, when they signed on, and whether they're marked away.

Anyone can message you. If someone is a pest, see Blocking People.
