Warning

BETA VERSION. CS.Coder Block Folding is still being tested and may have defects. It does not change your source files, but it works inside the code editor: save your work often while you try it. Please report anything you find in the issues.

First public version. An extension for the code editor of Delphi 11, 12 and 13 that folds statement blocks: if (with its else), for, while, with, try, case, repeat and, as an option, a begin..end on its own.

The unit in the screenshot is the sample that comes with the repository.

Install

  1. Download CSCoderBlockFolding-0.26.10.12a.zip below (not "Source code").
  2. Extract the whole zip.
  3. Close Delphi.
  4. Run Install.bat. No administrator rights and no compiler needed.
  5. Open Delphi: the commands are in the main menu, CS.Coder > Block Folding.

One download covers Delphi 11 (32-bit IDE) and Delphi 12 and 13 (32-bit and 64-bit IDE).

What it does

  • Ctrl+Alt+B folds the block around the cursor and, on the first line of a folded block, opens it. Ctrl+Alt+Shift+B opens every fold of the unit.
  • - and + signs beside the code fold and open with a click, when the IDE's own code folding is turned off.
  • The kinds of block, the shortcuts and the text shown on the folded line can be changed in the settings.
  • Your source stays as it is: nothing is inserted in the unit and nothing is saved in the file. Folds last while the unit stays open.
  • The About window is in English, Portuguese, Spanish, German and French; the menu and the settings window are in Portuguese in this version.
  • MIT License.

VERSÃO BETA. O CS.Coder Block Folding ainda está em teste e pode ter defeitos. Ele não altera os seus arquivos-fonte, mas trabalha dentro do editor de código: salve o seu trabalho com frequência enquanto testa. Avise de qualquer problema nas issues.

Instalar

  1. Baixe CSCoderBlockFolding-0.26.10.12a.zip aqui embaixo (não o "Source code").
  2. Extraia o zip inteiro.
  3. Feche o Delphi.
  4. Execute Install.bat. Não precisa de administrador nem de compilador.
  5. Abra o Delphi: os comandos estão no menu principal, CS.Coder > Block Folding.

Um único download serve para o Delphi 11 (IDE de 32 bits) e para o Delphi 12 e 13 (IDE de 32 e de 64 bits).

O que faz

  • Ctrl+Alt+B dobra o bloco em volta do cursor e, na primeira linha de um bloco dobrado, abre. Ctrl+Alt+Shift+B abre todas as dobras da unit.
  • Os sinais - e + ao lado do código dobram e abrem com um clique, quando a dobra de código da própria IDE está desligada.
  • Os tipos de bloco, os atalhos e o texto mostrado na linha dobrada podem ser trocados nas configurações.
  • O seu fonte fica como está: nada é inserido na unit e nada é gravado no arquivo. As dobras valem enquanto a unit está aberta.
  • A tela Sobre está em português, inglês, espanhol, alemão e francês; o menu e a tela de configurações estão em português nesta versão.
