@github-actions github-actions released this 18 Oct 06:28

TmuxDeck v1.14.18 release notes

Agent-intercom plugins

  • Bump bundled agent-intercom plugins: Claude 0.16.0, Codex 0.13.3, OpenCode 0.13.0; OpenCode plugin / SDK closure 1.19.3. Core manifest stays at 0.2.0.
  • Track every bundled plugin version and digest in src-tauri/resources/plugins.lock.json instead of hand-editing several files.
  • Add scripts/update-plugins to pull the latest npm releases and rewrite versions and checksums; --check only reports available updates. CI runs the check.
  • Track pi-intercom at 0.14.0 in the update check and docs.

Release pipeline

  • Release builds now run npm test, npm run build, and cargo test before signing; any failure stops the release.

Desktop security

  • Write tmux attach scripts to a private per-user app directory with random file names, created exclusively without following symlinks, instead of predictable /tmp/tmuxdeck-<session>.sh paths.
  • Escape special characters in session names inside attach scripts and prune scripts older than 7 days.

Cleanup

  • Rename the npm / Cargo package from tauri-app to tmuxdeck. The bundle identifier com.ctliz.tmuxdeck and updater configuration are unchanged; only the executable inside TmuxDeck.app is renamed.

TmuxDeck v1.14.17 release notes

Release pipeline

  • macOS releases now fail if Apple signing or notarization secrets are missing. Unsigned DMGs are no longer uploaded.
  • Windows .exe / .msi publishing is paused. GitHub Releases contain the notarized Apple Silicon DMG only.
  • In-app updates remain Apple Silicon (darwin-aarch64) only.

Desktop security

  • Enable a restrictive Content Security Policy for the Tauri WebView instead of csp: null.
  • Split tray-panel capabilities away from updater, process, and opener permissions used by the main window.
  • Keep Hardened Runtime JIT entitlements needed by the embedded terminal; drop DYLD environment variables and library-validation disablement.

Pairing transport

  • Read the live pairing token at HTTP/WebSocket handshake time so rotation invalidates in-flight connections.
  • Keep pairing tokens in mobile-page memory only; do not write them to sessionStorage.
  • Reject public IP Host headers in tests and keep MagicDNS limited to Tailscale *.ts.net hostnames.

Cleanup

  • Remove the unused xterm AgentTerminal / ChatCockpit UI and the @xterm/* dependencies.
  • Align README, roadmap, and signing docs with signed/notarized macOS shipping.

TmuxDeck v1.14.16 release notes

Apple Developer ID code signing & notarization

  • Official macOS code signing using Apple Developer ID certificate with Hardened Runtime enabled.
  • Automatic Apple notarization and ticket stapling for macOS DMG bundles to ensure trusted, warning-free installation.
  • Configured runtime entitlements supporting JIT and executable memory while maintaining unsandboxed tmux inter-process access.
  • Removed optional unnotarized native addon from bundled OpenCode SDK closure to satisfy Apple notarization requirements.

Automatic in-app updates

  • Integrated Tauri v2 auto-updater plugin with cryptographic Minisign (Ed25519) signature verification.
  • Release manifests and signed update archives published automatically alongside GitHub Releases.
  • Lightweight in-app update notification in the header providing download progress tracking and seamless restart to apply updates.

Window interaction enhancements

  • Added core:window:allow-start-dragging capability for native window dragging interactions.

TmuxDeck v1.14.15 release notes

Smoother dashboard scrolling

  • Remove per-card backdrop filters and the fixed background attachment that caused expensive WebKit repaints while scrolling.
  • Keep the dashboard's glass appearance with translucent surfaces, borders, and shadows that are cheaper to composite.
  • Reuse unchanged workspace and pane objects so periodic tmux polling no longer rerenders the entire dashboard.
  • Defer nonessential pane preview capture and non-forced dashboard updates while the user is actively scrolling.

Restore native terminal paste

  • Let macOS Command+V and the platform paste shortcut reach the hidden terminal input instead of encoding them as terminal modifier keys.
  • Continue routing pasted text through the terminal paste command, including bracketed-paste handling when enabled by the Agent CLI.

Fix Chinese text in the embedded terminal

  • Force the embedded tmux client to use UTF-8 output on macOS and Windows/WSL.
  • Fix Chinese characters being rendered as underscores when TmuxDeck is launched without a UTF-8 locale, such as from Finder.
  • Add regression coverage for the tmux UTF-8 attachment arguments and Ghostty Core Chinese cell rendering.

Fix Pane Survival on Terminal & Panel Close

  • Preserve Panes Across Terminals: Fixed tmux pane zoom persistence bug where attaching via the embedded canvas terminal left sessions in a zoomed state, hiding other panes on disconnect.
  • Return to Shell Persistence: Always ensure agent panes drop to a persistent shell (exec "${SHELL:-/bin/sh}") after agent command exit or disconnect, preventing panes from vanishing unexpectedly.
  • Dynamic Active Session Synchronization: Synchronize embedded terminal views directly with live session polling in App.tsx so added/swapped panes are immediately retained across panel and terminal lifecycle.

Cross-Platform Release

  • Official release builds published for macOS (.dmg) and Windows (.exe / .msi).

TmuxDeck v1.14.12 release notes

Smooth Terminal Scrolling & Precision Wheel Accumulator

  • Added physical pixel wheel delta accumulator with requestAnimationFrame batching, delivering buttery smooth, precise trackpad scrolling without jumping or overshooting.
  • Interactive scrollbar: draggable thumb, click-to-page navigation, and hover brightness feedback.
  • Floating "Scroll to Bottom" (↓ 回到最新) quick action button when scrolled up into terminal history.

Instant Canvas Text Selection & Clipboard Workflow

  • Instant drag-to-select on terminal canvas with automatic system clipboard copy on mouse release.
  • Double-click word selection and triple-click whole-line selection with copy toast indicator (✓ 已复制 X 字符).
  • Tuned tmux copy-mode bindings (copy-selection) to preserve viewport scroll position upon mouse release without abruptly kicking the user back to the prompt.
  • Keyboard shortcut Cmd+C / Ctrl+C copies active canvas selections without sending interrupt signals (SIGINT) to running CLI processes.

Stability & Robustness

  • Fixed terminal connection errors and augmented cross-platform PATH lookup for tmux binary and session queries.
  • Official release builds published for macOS (.dmg) and Windows (.exe / .msi).

TmuxDeck v1.14.11 release notes

Native Canvas Terminal (Ghostty VT)

  • Embedded native libghostty-vt terminal core with high-performance 2D Canvas rendering and dirty-row partial patching.
  • Multi-pass rendering pipeline ensuring flawless CJK full-width glyph alignment and crisp Retina display scaling.
  • Integrated background translucency with frosted glassmorphism styling (backdrop-blur-2xl).
  • Native mouse reporting, scrollback history wheel support, and bracketed paste protection.

Workspace & Cockpit Layouts

  • Three versatile layout modes:
    • Focus: Distraction-free single-pane terminal with tabbed switcher and drag-to-reorder tabs.
    • List: Sidebar conversation navigator displaying all agent panes with status badges and quick jumping.
    • Grid: Multi-pane synchronized grid view with titlebar drag-and-drop swapping.
  • Streamlined tab creation: Add new split panes/tabs directly from the canvas header with intelligent dominant agent recommendation.
  • Isolated in-app pane creation: zero extraneous external terminal popups.
  • Fixed initial input buffer newline quirks to guarantee instant / slash-command autocomplete on launch.

Cross-Platform Release

  • Official builds for both macOS (.dmg) and Windows (.exe / .msi).

TmuxDeck v1.14.10

TmuxDeck v1.14.10 release notes

Mobile

  • Pairing lists LAN and Tailscale addresses. Use the Tailscale QR when the phone is on the tailnet.
  • Opening a workspace conversation defaults to the Lead session. Switch teammates from the compact header dropdown.
  • Conversation snapshots keep the last 12 turns so long histories do not stall Safari.
  • Safari keeps the composer above the keyboard instead of scrolling the input to the top of the screen.
  • Refresh pairing mints a new token; closing the QR keeps the current token.

Desktop

  • The menu bar tooltip and tray panel show how many Agents are waiting for a reply.

Packaging

  • Destroying a missing native workspace returns “nothing to do” when tmux is absent, so CI/release tests no longer fail on ENOENT.

TmuxDeck v1.14.9

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 18 Aug 14:38

TmuxDeck v1.14.9 release notes

Grok Build and AGY

  • Detect Grok Build (grok, including ~/.grok/bin) and AGY (agy) as available workspace agents.
  • Start Grok and AGY with their documented bypass flags when bypass mode is selected.
  • Pass each TmuxDeck pane's generated Intercom identity to Grok and AGY plugin hosts.
  • Document the external/manual claude-intercom-mcp plugin setup, per-pane identity requirements, and the need to poll intercom_pending because these MCP integrations have no wake bridge.

Release platforms

  • This release ships the Apple Silicon macOS DMG only. Windows installers remain paused.
