update.py and check were disabled due to repeated failures. New strategy to be deployed. XML-wellformedness and validation checks still active.

Known issues:

Entry metadata does not include terms from "part" or "continues" divs, only from divs with id attributes and head elements
The repository has not been fully pruned leaving some vestigial and out of date files and directories
