Release list
v0.2.0
Find what's wrong without remembering Linux commands — the v0.2 promise on
the roadmap.
v0.1 let you see every server without SSH'ing into them one by one. v0.2 is
about the next question: something looks wrong, so what is it?
New screens
| Processes | what a process actually is, and which container it belongs to |
| Disk | what is filling a disk up — and when the honest answer is that the floor is simply that high |
| Services | why a unit failed, or why you cannot see it |
| Listeners | what can reach this machine, on hosts with none of the tools you would normally ask with |
Changing a host
rove can now change a host, and never quietly: every change confirms first and
says what it did.
Fixed
Docker absence and Docker refusing to answer used to look the same, so a
daemon that was up but unreachable read as a host with no Docker at all. They
are now told apart and reported differently.
Packaging
The cask stripped Gatekeeper's quarantine attribute in a postflight block,
which Homebrew has deprecated in favour of the declarative postflight_steps.
Every brew operation warned about it, and when the stanza is eventually
removed the cask would have installed a binary macOS refuses to run. It is now
written declaratively.
Still nothing to configure. If ssh <host> works, rove works.
Install
macOS:
brew install --cask cuonggt/tap/rove
