🧠 VC CHECKER v1.1

Advanced Local Security Scanner for Developers & Ethical Learners

Author: @cybernahid-devLicense: MIT • Release Date: 2025-11-03

🚀 Introduction

VC Checker v1.1 is a standalone, open-source cybersecurity analysis tool that helps developers and students detect potential vulnerabilities, insecure patterns, and harmful code signatures inside local directories — directly from the terminal.

Unlike cloud scanners, VC Checker works 100% offline, ensuring privacy and security during every scan.
It’s designed for ethical learning, debugging, and research — providing real-time threat insights in a developer-friendly interface.

✨ Key Features

Feature Description
🔍 Auto Path Detection Instantly finds and scans target directories from just the folder name — no full path needed.
Real-Time Results Displays scanning progress and findings live on the terminal with instant summaries.
🧠 Pattern-Based Threat Detection Searches for suspicious signatures like embedded tokens, malicious imports, and injection traces.
🧩 Fully Offline All scans are performed locally; no internet or API dependency.
💾 Lightweight & Fast Written in pure Python — runs smoothly even on low-resource systems.
🧱 Cross-Platform Compatible with Linux, macOS, Termux (Android), and Windows (via Python 3).
🖥 Custom Banner Interface A clean CLI banner with project name, version, and author for professional appearance.
🧾 Structured Summary Output Shows detailed results: total scanned files, flagged threats, and scan duration.

🧩 Installation Guide

🧠 Prerequisites

  • Python 3.8+
  • Basic command-line knowledge

🐧 Linux / Termux

1️⃣ Install dependencies

pkg install python git -y

2️⃣ Clone the repository

git clone https://github.com/cybernahid-dev/VC-Checker.git

pip install -r requirement.txt

cd vcchecker

3️⃣ Run the tool

python vc_checker.py

🪟 Windows

1️⃣ Install Python from

https://python.org/downloads

2️⃣ Clone the repository

git clone https://github.com/cybernahid-dev/VC-Checker.git

cd vcchecker

3️⃣ Run the scanner

python vc_checker.py

🧠 How It Works

  1. Launch the tool from your terminal.

  2. The VC Checker banner appears:

╔═══════════════════════════════════╗ ║ VC CHECKER v1.1 🧠 ║ ║ Developed by cybernahid-dev ║ ╚═══════════════════════════════════╝

  1. Type any folder name or file path (e.g. Astra-2.1).

  2. The scanner:

Auto-detects the full directory path.

Inspects files recursively.

Highlights any suspicious or dangerous content in real time.

Example Output:

📂 Scanning directory: /data/data/com.termux/files/home/Astra-2.1 ⚠️ Suspicious → /core/utils.py [Found: eval()] ✅ Safe → /config/settings.json ⚠️ Suspicious → /scripts/temp.py [Found: subprocess+os]

Summary: ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🧾 Files Scanned: 102 ⚠️ Threats Detected: 3 ⏱ Scan Duration: 2.7s ✅ Status: Completed Successfully ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

🎯 Use Case Examples

🧩 Cybersecurity Students: Learn how static code analysis works.

🧠 Developers: Detect insecure imports and debug unknown scripts.

🧰 System Admins: Quick local checks before deployment.

🧾 Ethical Hackers: Test local environments for hidden backdoors or tokens.

⚙️ Configuration

No external configuration is required. VC Checker runs immediately after setup. All scans are fully local, and the script can be customized easily by editing:

vc_checker.py

You can modify detection patterns, alert styles, or output formatting.
