Note v8a is the 64-bit build, and should be considered the default choice.
- Replaced the subreddit filter prefix/suffix toggles with per-rule keyword matching on r/ContinuumAll
- Rebuilt the Post Filter screen around one include/exclude rule list, and merged in Applies to
- Simplified steps of "Add to Post Filter"
- Stopped naming new post and comment filters "New Filter"
- Added a feature where the apps records and lists the subreddits each wildcard rule actually hides
Note the under the hood Post Filters functionality is exactly the same. The changes either extend existing functionality or change the UI/UX. The exception is the removal of the prefix/suffix toggles, which are superceded by the new wildcard feature.
What is r/ContinuumAll? It is an alias of r/all. The reason is to avoid accidental filtering r/all. It is an opt-in, and you have to set it up. I did create r/ContinuumAll on Reddit as a private subreddit as a placeholder.
Steps:
- Add wildcard filters which are automatcally limited to r/ContinuumAll
- Remove r/all, titled All by default, from Settings | Interface | Customize Tabs in Main Page | Tabs
- Add r/ContinuumAll to Settings | Interface | Customize Tabs in Main Page | Tabs, and title it All if you want
