Minecraft creative mode inside GTA V story mode: the Minecraft HUD and creative inventory, 69 blocks that
are real GTA objects (lit, shadowed, solid), Minecraft mobs that fight GTA's people, Steve, elytra, TNT and more.

What's new in 1.4.0

  • Shaped blocks (about 270 new): slabs (top, bottom, double), stairs (with Minecraft's corner shapes), walls,
fences and fence gates that connect to their neighbours, glass panes and iron bars, carpets, torches (on the floor
or on walls), lanterns (standing or hanging), flowers, saplings, grass and other plants, cobwebs, ladders, doors
(two blocks tall, double doors pair up) and trapdoors. Right-click opens doors, trapdoors and gates (iron ones
need redstone, like in Minecraft). Torches, plants, carpets and ladders pop off when what holds them is broken.
  • 133 more full blocks: all 16 glazed terracottas, copper in every stage (cut, chiseled, grates), wood and
stripped logs for every tree, chiseled and cracked stone variants, quartz pillar, smooth sandstone, coral blocks,
froglights, mushroom blocks, sculk, deepslate ores, barrel, loom, fletching / smithing / cartography tables,
chiseled bookshelf, lodestone, respawn anchor, spawner, crafter and more.
  • Mob heads: skeleton skull, zombie head, creeper head and player head.
  • Furniture and redstone blocks (91 new): beds in all 16 colours (right-click at night to sleep until morning),
chests, trapped chests and ender chests (right-click to open: a lid that lifts and 27 slots that keep what you put
in), signs in every wood (standing or on walls; type your text with GTA's keyboard, '|' starts a new line, and it
shows on the sign), banners in all 16 colours, buttons and levers (they press and flip), pressure plates (they go
down when people or cars are on them), rails (they join up and curve at corners), anvils, enchanting table, brewing
stand, cauldron, campfires (they glow and burn whoever stands in them) and flower pots.
  • Ladders can be climbed: walk or jump into one to climb, let go to slide down, crouch to hold on.
  • Arrows, ender pearls and wither skulls fly through torches, plants, carpets, signs and the like instead of
sticking in the air around them.
  • Block textures are compressed on the GPU (DXT, lossless for Minecraft's pixel art): the block pack uses about a
third of the memory it did.

Downloads

File For
GrandTheftMinecraft-1.4.0.oiv Recommended: install with OpenIV's Package Installer
GrandTheftMinecraft-1.4.0-manual.zip Manual install (instructions in INSTALL.txt)

Requirements

  • GTA V Legacy (Steam / Rockstar / Epic), story mode only. GTA V Enhanced isn't supported.
  • ScriptHookV for your game version.
  • OpenIV with OpenIV.asi installed: OpenIV > Tools > ASI Manager > OpenIV.asi > Install.
  • Internet on the first launch, unless Minecraft Java 1.21.11 is installed on the PC.

Install

  1. Install ScriptHookV and OpenIV.asi (above).
  2. Download GrandTheftMinecraft-1.4.0.oiv.
  3. In OpenIV: Tools > Package Installer, open the .oiv and install it to the mods folder.
  4. Start GTA V and load story mode. The first time, the top-left corner shows the setup for a few seconds while the
mod builds its textures and sounds from your Minecraft 1.21.11 (or Mojang's official servers).
  5. Restart GTA once when it says so. The textured blocks load from then on.

Press F6 to switch Minecraft mode on and off, E for the creative inventory. All controls and settings are in
the README.

No Minecraft files are included: the mod reads them from your own Minecraft or downloads them from Mojang on your
PC. Never use mods in GTA Online; the mod switches itself off if an online session starts.

Uninstall: delete GrandTheftMinecraft.asi, the GrandTheftMinecraft folder and
mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\gtm from the GTA folder, and remove the dlcpacks:/gtm/ line from
mods\update\update.rpf\common\data\dlclist.xml in OpenIV.
