What changed
- Chrome/Edge extension no longer replaces the browser new-tab page or changes the homepage.
- Existing third-party new-tab homepage extensions continue to control new tabs.
- Ocean injection now requires the real DeepSeek Harness title, root node, and server boot marker.
- Other localhost and 127.0.0.1 applications remain untouched.
- Updated English/Chinese installation guidance and pinned installers to v1.2.1.
Verification
- 14 repository checks passed.
- Real Chrome acceptance passed for Harness injection, live controls, persistence, generic localhost isolation, existing new-tab-extension coexistence, static install, and uninstall.
- GitHub Actions CI passed.
Upgrade
For an unpacked Chrome/Edge installation, replace the old extension folder with the v1.2.1 ZIP contents and click Reload on chrome://extensions. The browser will release Open Sea control of the new-tab page automatically; other installed new-tab extensions are not modified.
