🚀 Airbeats Desktop v6.0.0 - The Ultimate Refresh

We are thrilled to announce Airbeats Desktop v6.0.0! This massive update focuses on bringing blazing-fast performance, rock-solid stability, stunning UI improvements, and seamless new ways to interact with your music.

✨ What's New

🎨 Stunning UI & UX Overhaul

  • Custom Context Menus: Say goodbye to boring browser menus! Right-clicking any song, artist, or queue item now brings up a beautiful, frosted-glass animated context menu.
  • Advanced Queue Control: You can now instantly remove songs from your queue or force them to play immediately directly from the new right-click menu.
  • Smart Text Formatting: Fixed an issue where songs with many artists would stretch cards vertically and break the grid design. Long artist names are now beautifully truncated with an ellipsis.
  • Tailored For You: The "Made for you" grid has been heavily optimized and capped to your top 20 favorites to keep your home screen clean, fast, and completely clutter-free.

⚡ Performance & Engine Upgrades

  • Instant Launch: We obliterated the 10-20 second loading delay on startup! The app now launches instantly without the browser tab spinning endlessly.
  • Smoother Lyrics: Synchronized lyrics highlighting has been refined to be buttery smooth.
  • Better Search Engine: Replaced the legacy Spotify fallback with native ytmusicapi autocomplete, fixing the "Unknown Artist" bug and drastically improving search speeds.
  • Listen Together API: Fully migrated to the new, highly reliable listentogether.airbeats.app infrastructure.

🛠 Bug Fixes & Stability

  • Download Fixes: The right-click "Download" option has been completely re-wired to fetch and stream your .m4a files locally, perfectly matching the reliability of the mini-player download button.
  • Playlist Fixes: Fixed a bug where adding a song to a playlist via the right-click menu wouldn't trigger the modal.
  • Crash Protections: Fixed a critical engine crash related to missing translation files inside the PyInstaller compiler. The standalone .exe is now perfectly stable.
  • Update Checker: Re-linked the auto-updater to cleanly scan the brand new Airbeats-Desktop repository for seamless future updates.
  • Security: Added heavy JavaScript obfuscation and codebase protection to the Electron core.
