FramePier 0.2.3

A self-contained Windows video downloader for Chrome, Brave, and Edge. Supports YouTube, public Twitch clips/VODs, and Dailymotion videos.

What's new

  • Bundled Deno 2.9.7, updated yt-dlp with OpenSSL 3, and shared LGPL FFmpeg with MP3 support.
  • Added Dailymotion support.
  • Improved download size reporting and thumbnail handling.
  • Strengthened downloader security and expanded license notices.

Installation

Download FramePier-Setup-0.2.3.exe and run it. All required tools are included.

Load the browser extension manually using Developer mode → Load unpacked. See the README for instructions.

Source code and licenses

Corresponding source archives are available alongside the installer:

  • FramePier-0.2.3-YtDlp-Source.zip

Both are available free of charge and will remain available while the installer is distributed. See THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md and licenses/SOURCE-AVAILABILITY.txt.

Verification

Windows build, Go tests, 100 JavaScript tests, and YouTube/Deno extraction checks passed. Clean-install and full in-app regression testing were not completed.
