Kitewell 0.18.3 — Public beta
Pre-release
Pre-release
Kitewell 0.18.3 is a beta update.
What's in this release
- Under every live answer, the chat says what Kitewell is doing and for how
long: thinking, writing a workflow, trying it, running a step, or waiting
for you. A long step no longer looks stuck. - While the assistant writes a workflow, its diagram grows step by step in
the chat. A trial lights up each step as it runs, then shows where it
stopped and what each step found as tables, and all of it stays after a
reload. Rows the assistant's browser reads off a page show as a table too. - When a workflow depends on what a site, a mailbox, or a file gives, the
assistant first tries only the steps that read it, so you see real data
sooner, then adds the rest. - The assistant now changes its drafts by editing only the lines that
change, and the chat shows each edit as it lands: the step it changes,
marked on the diagram, with the lines taken out and put in. Trying a draft
again after you allow trials, or proposing what was just tried, no longer
rewrites the whole workflow. - The chat answers at Medium reasoning effort unless you choose another
level, so each step takes less time. A level you chose yourself stays as
it is. - The questions the assistant asks you also ask whether to allow trial runs,
so the first trial does not wait on a card of its own. - Every proposed workflow lists what you asked for, with the step that does
it and what the trial showed. - A run started from the chat shows its first report, the values it
published, and the files it saved on its card once it ends, also after a
reload. - Results are no longer written into a workbook that Excel for Mac has
open. Undo takes back all of a launch's results at once, and they stay out
of the workbook until you write them again or the row runs again. - The spreadsheet starters run as their cards say, and a new starter merges
a folder of branch workbooks into one sheet by column name. - A kintone connection with OAuth 2.0 sign-in now saves.
- A run's step table labels how long each step took as its duration.
- MCP clients can change a saved workflow by sending edits to its YAML
instead of the whole YAML, and check those edits first. - The bundled engine is still Dagu 2.21.0.
Upgrading
Nothing to do. Kitewell 0.18.2 updates itself to 0.18.3 at a quiet moment, and
running workflows go on across the restart.
