Commit bedf712 causes `C-x C-f` and `ffap` to not work in ghostel shell

Confirmed by reverting that commit (bedf712), rebuilding, and restarting emacs (is there a faster way?).

C-x C-f inside a ghostel terminal at current HEAD 787a247 errors out w/ Buffer is read-only: #<buffer *Completions*>. ODDLY, When I turn on Debug on Error and reproduce it doesn't drop to the debugger.
