Akuru 2.1.1

Akuru 2.1.1 is Developer ID signed and notarized by Apple, with the notarization
ticket included in the downloaded app. Download the ZIP, open it, move Akuru to
Applications and launch it. macOS may ask you to confirm opening an app downloaded
from the internet. The older Open Anyway workaround is documented separately for
previous non-notarized releases.

  • Universal Apple Silicon and Intel app, build 10, with a macOS 12.0 deployment minimum.
  • The library remains 54 distinct Sinhala Unicode families, with 1,180 pre-generated
preview images, the full Sinhala Wikipedia සකස්කඩ specimen and original attribution.
  • Dasun Sameera Weerasinghe's Sinhala Wijesekara keyboard installer and managed
updater remain included, with his original MIT licence and credit.
  • Existing Akuru versions using the current update endpoint can discover 2.1.1
through Check for Updates. Users choose when to download and replace the app.

Apple's notarization result was Accepted with no reported issues. The final
repacked ZIP passed strict signatures for both architectures, Hardened Runtime,
secure timestamp, stapled-ticket validation and Gatekeeper assessment. The local
live-font suite passed 31 checks / 3,597 assertions using temporary installation
roots. The signed app's library, previews, contributor directory and keyboard panel
were reviewed on macOS 27.0.1. Native macOS 12 runtime testing remains unverified.
Notarization is separate from Mac App Store review; this is the direct-download
release.
