HAVC installer v2.8.0 — two new Flux.2 Klein models, and a lighter default.

Flux.2 Klein 9B and 4B in INT8 ConvRot join the stack:
flux2_klein_9b_int8 and flux2_klein_4b_int8. Same Flux.2 graph, with a
Qwen3 text encoder in the fp4 build, no Turbo LoRA and no guidance node —
and INT8 ConvRot is ComfyUI's native format, so the stock loader takes them
with nothing to install. They need no saturation correction: the shipped
slider now rests at 1.0 (off), because both sizes come out vividly colored
even at 2 steps with the paired split.

The small-machine default is now the 4B. Below the thresholds the installer
used to seed LongCat Q3; it now seeds flux2_klein_4b_int8, which is smaller
(7.6 GB of weights against 8.8 GB, and 3.8 GB against 5.8 GB in the
text-encoder phase) and, in the field test, the fastest config in the stack. A
model you picked yourself is never rewritten.

The setup warns, and lets you decide. A machine below the requirements now
gets a plain statement of that — with the minimums of the smallest model (8 GB
of VRAM, 16 GB of RAM) and a warning about degraded performance — instead of an
offer to "pick another model" when none would fit. Still a warning, never a
gate: only a Windows version below 10.0.17763 stops the installation.

Also in this release: the Saturation slider on both colorization tabs
(1.0–2.0, a CPU post-process after the model), Enable Prompt Config on by
default
so the config owns the wording, one prompt everywhere, and the
Flux.2 Klein fp4 text encoders.

Start here:

  • HAVC-Setup-2.8.0.exe — HAVC Manager installer wizard (single-file, self-contained: no .NET
runtime needed). Windows SmartScreen may warn (Windows protected your PC → More info →
Run anyway); the exe is not code-signed yet. sha256: 8f11b944798ad9f6a8b9efccd86aad846a735c1bcbf7d1d763d11bf485c5223c
  • havc-2.8.0-py3-none-any.whl — HAVC server stack wheel: the content the manager installs (its
version follows the installer). sha256: 627bf9f198bf11662764e3300849b3476e2e987ed96a4221edd8a5feb26d0dfb
  • release.json — the release manifest read by the installer/manager (sha256 for every artifact).
Pinned packages and the ComfyUI runtime live in the stable asset release HAVC Assets v1.0.7
    (comfy_bridge_v0.37.zip + diffusers + spatial_correlation_sampler);
    vscmnet2 comes from dan64/vs-cmnet2.

Requirements: Windows 10/11, NVIDIA RTX 30/40/50, CUDA 13.0+. Model weights are downloaded on
first use and preserved across updates. The lightest model needs 8 GB of VRAM and 16 GB of RAM.

Notes: this is a normal (incremental) update — requires_env_rebuild is false, model files are
preserved and the previous wheel stays in cache\ for a rollback. comfy_bridge moves to v0.37
for the guidance-0 sentinel the Klein configs need, so the update re-extracts it (your models/
folder is untouched). Installer releases (and their wheel) stay on the 2.x.x line; the 1.x.x tags
are reserved for asset buckets.
