Bitwarden Client License Change

So, according to the Bitwarden community announcement, the Bitwarden client from the app store will be changed to Commerial License.

Starting in the next release, the Bitwarden apps published to the various stores will be the commercially licensed builds

And it seems those paid feature, which Vaultwarden unlocks, will be no longer available on the opensource licensed client.

Users that wish to only ever use the GPLv3 license will need to download and side-load the Bitwarden application onto their devices, however those users will not have access to any features that they pay for that is commercially licensed.

Will this affect the vaultwarden users in any way?

Where does it say that? If i recall correctly they mentioned all features would stay the same. Also, those paid features are not Bitwarden Licensed as far as i know.

Okay, I thought all bitwarden's paid plans, personal and business subscriptions, are gonna be published under the new commercial license.

Some future components will be published under the commercial license and will exist only in that build. Newly developed features will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis for which license applies to them.

And it looks like only some of the future components/features will be published under commercial license and only available to the commercial license build from their message here

But as long as the commercial licensed browser extension and the mobile client will be compatible with open-source client. That's the main concern, which it seems to be compatible
