GodTerm runs many interactive Claude Code (and Grok Build) sessions side by side, each signed in to its own account, with live usage for every account, a session browser, and a voice assistant that can drive it all. Free and open source under the MIT License.

What's new in 0.2.2: self update

  • GodTerm updates itself. It checks GitHub Releases at start and every 6 hours, downloads the update for your platform in the background, and shows a chip in the status bar. "Restart to update" (Ctrl-a N, Settings > About, or ask the assistant) saves your tabs and restarts into the new version with every tab restored.
  • Verified before use: each download's sha256 must match this release's SHA256SUMS, SHA256SUMS must carry a valid minisign signature from the GodTerm release key (SHA256SUMS.minisig), and on macOS the binary must carry the Developer ID signature.
  • Side by side, with rollback: versions live in ~/.godterm/versions/<version> and switch with one atomic rename; godterm update --rollback goes back to the previous one.
  • From the command line: godterm update --check, godterm update, godterm update --rollback. Homebrew, deb and rpm installs are told the command to run instead (brew upgrade, your package manager).

Verify a download yourself:

minisign -Vm SHA256SUMS -P RWTNzCFSrTk4Erhp4n8mN0kO3VgXNUYQliJVGM6jC0jaVe07tPVATFcT
shasum -a 256 -c SHA256SUMS --ignore-missing

Install

GodTerm needs the Claude Code CLI (claude) on your PATH.

macOS

brew install --cask daniel-farina/godterm/godterm # GodTerm.app plus the godterm command
brew install daniel-farina/godterm/godterm # or only the command

Or download GodTerm-0.2.2-macos-universal.dmg (or the arm64 / x86_64 one) below and drag GodTerm to Applications. Every app and DMG is signed with a Developer ID, notarized by Apple and stapled.

Linux (glibc 2.34+: Ubuntu 22.04+, Debian 12+, Fedora, RHEL 9+)

sudo apt install ./godterm_0.2.2_amd64.deb # Debian, Ubuntu (or _arm64.deb)
sudo dnf install ./godterm-0.2.2-1.x86_64.rpm # Fedora, RHEL, openSUSE (or .aarch64.rpm)
chmod +x GodTerm-0.2.2-x86_64.AppImage && ./GodTerm-0.2.2-x86_64.AppImage   # any distro

The tarballs hold just the godterm binary (it needs libasound2). Homebrew on Linux works too: brew install daniel-farina/godterm/godterm.

Windows 10 (1803+) and 11, x86_64

Run GodTerm-0.2.2-windows-x64-setup.exe (a per user install with a Start menu entry and an optional PATH entry), or unzip godterm-0.2.2-x86_64-pc-windows-msvc.zip.

SmartScreen: the Windows installer and exe are not code signed yet, so Windows may show "Windows protected your PC". Click More info, then Run anyway. Check the download against SHA256SUMS first if you like.
