GodTerm runs many interactive Claude Code (and Grok Build) sessions side by side, each signed in to its own account, with live usage for every account, a session browser, and a voice assistant that can drive it all. Free and open source under the MIT License.

What's new in 0.2.4

  • Update signatures are now required. An update is installed only if the release's SHA256SUMS carries a valid signature from GodTerm's release key (update.require_signature = true by default). A release without one is still reported by the update check but never downloaded or installed ("release vX is not signed; refusing to update. Set update.require_signature = false to override"). --force lifts only the downgrade guard, never the signature check. Every release from 0.2.2 is signed, so updating keeps working. Settings > General has "Require signed updates" (turning it off is not recommended).
  • Fixed: saying the wake word alone ("hey god") did nothing after a pause or in open mic; it now always answers, in every mode.

Updating: GodTerm 0.2.2 and 0.2.3 update themselves to this release (a chip in the status bar, then Restart to update with Ctrl-a N, or godterm update). Versions 0.2.0 and 0.2.1 need one manual update: Homebrew, the DMG, a package, or curl -fsSL https://godterm.com/install.sh | sh.

Verify a download yourself:

minisign -Vm SHA256SUMS -P RWTNzCFSrTk4Erhp4n8mN0kO3VgXNUYQliJVGM6jC0jaVe07tPVATFcT
shasum -a 256 -c SHA256SUMS --ignore-missing

Install

GodTerm needs the Claude Code CLI (claude) on your PATH.

macOS

brew install --cask daniel-farina/godterm/godterm # GodTerm.app plus the godterm command
brew install daniel-farina/godterm/godterm # or only the command

Or download GodTerm-0.2.4-macos-universal.dmg (or the arm64 / x86_64 one) below and drag GodTerm to Applications. Every app and DMG is signed with a Developer ID, notarized by Apple and stapled.

Linux (glibc 2.34+: Ubuntu 22.04+, Debian 12+, Fedora, RHEL 9+)

sudo apt install ./godterm_0.2.4_amd64.deb # Debian, Ubuntu (or _arm64.deb)
sudo dnf install ./godterm-0.2.4-1.x86_64.rpm # Fedora, RHEL, openSUSE (or .aarch64.rpm)
chmod +x GodTerm-0.2.4-x86_64.AppImage && ./GodTerm-0.2.4-x86_64.AppImage   # any distro

The tarballs hold just the godterm binary (it needs libasound2). Homebrew on Linux works too: brew install daniel-farina/godterm/godterm.

Windows 10 (1803+) and 11, x86_64

Run GodTerm-0.2.4-windows-x64-setup.exe (a per user install with a Start menu entry and an optional PATH entry), or unzip godterm-0.2.4-x86_64-pc-windows-msvc.zip.

SmartScreen: the Windows installer and exe are not code signed yet, so Windows may show "Windows protected your PC". Click More info, then Run anyway. Check the download against SHA256SUMS first if you like.
