GodTerm runs many interactive Claude Code (and Grok Build) sessions side by side, each signed in to its own account, with live usage for every account, a session browser, and a voice assistant that can drive it all. Free and open source under the MIT License.

What's new in 0.2.5

  • Setup that works out of the box. Settings > Setup shows what GodTerm needs (Claude Code, optional Grok Build, the voice pack) and installs it for you: your package manager, the official installers, or checksum verified downloads. The first click shows the exact commands and sizes, the second runs them; anything that needs sudo runs in a visible tab for your password. Or just say "install the voice pack".
  • The assistant runs on Claude or Grok, switchable any time from its title menu or by voice ("switch to Grok", "use Opus").
  • Manage accounts by voice: add MCP servers and plugins to one or several accounts (with the sign in), change settings, add or log in accounts. Every change is shown with the exact commands and needs your yes.
  • A redesigned assistant panel: a toolbar that never clips, tool calls as readable chips, and a waiting question that turns into "answered" in place.
  • Grid: close an account to take it out of the grid without logging it out, open it again later, and any split layout by voice ("two columns", "big left with the rest stacked").

Updating: GodTerm 0.2.2 and later update themselves to this release (a chip in the status bar, then Restart to update with Ctrl-a N, or godterm update). Versions 0.2.0 and 0.2.1 need one manual update: Homebrew, the DMG, a package, or curl -fsSL https://godterm.com/install.sh | sh.

Install

GodTerm runs the Claude Code CLI (claude); Settings > Setup installs it if it is missing.

macOS

brew install --cask daniel-farina/godterm/godterm # GodTerm.app plus the godterm command
brew install daniel-farina/godterm/godterm # or only the command

Or download GodTerm-0.2.5-macos-universal.dmg (or the arm64 / x86_64 one) below and drag GodTerm to Applications. Every app and DMG is signed with a Developer ID, notarized by Apple and stapled.

Linux (glibc 2.34+: Ubuntu 22.04+, Debian 12+, Fedora, RHEL 9+)

sudo apt install ./godterm_0.2.5_amd64.deb # Debian, Ubuntu (or _arm64.deb)
sudo dnf install ./godterm-0.2.5-1.x86_64.rpm # Fedora, RHEL, openSUSE (or .aarch64.rpm)
chmod +x GodTerm-0.2.5-x86_64.AppImage && ./GodTerm-0.2.5-x86_64.AppImage   # any distro

The tarballs hold just the godterm binary (it needs libasound2). Homebrew on Linux works too: brew install daniel-farina/godterm/godterm.

Windows 10 (1803+) and 11, x86_64

Run GodTerm-0.2.5-windows-x64-setup.exe (a per user install with a Start menu entry and an optional PATH entry), or unzip godterm-0.2.5-x86_64-pc-windows-msvc.zip.

SmartScreen: the Windows installer and exe are not code signed yet, so Windows may show "Windows protected your PC". Click More info, then Run anyway. Check the download against SHA256SUMS first if you like.
