Xplorer v0.3.0 — the Grok-native browser. First release under the Xplorer name (formerly XBrowser). macOS · Apple Silicon.

Highlights

  • Rebranded to Xplorer — app, bundle id (org.xplorer.Xplorer), welcome, and settings.
  • Unified glass toolbar — one canonical toolbar across Xplorer's pages and as an overlay on grok.com, x.com, and Grokipedia (Grok Build · Grok Web · Imagine · Groki · X), with hide/show.
  • "Grok it" button on every page — Summarize, "Is this true?" (fact-check), Explain, Analyze, or Build app from page.
  • Grok Build — describe an app and Grok builds it with a live preview; iterate by chatting. Fixes to edit/resume builds; bulk export/restart/delete; each app in its own folder with a dedicated conversation.
  • Grok Search home — new tabs open Grok Search (Web + Imagine), handing off to grok.com with context.
  • New /logs page for the companion.
  • Agent-ready — always-on local gateway (CDP on :9333, Agent API on :9334) plus a bundled MCP server.

Install (macOS, Apple Silicon)

Download the .dmg and drag Xplorer to Applications. This build is self-signed, so on first launch clear the quarantine flag:

xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Xplorer.app

Chat / build / search require the grok CLI signed in (grok login --oauth). SHA‑256 checksums are in the attached .sha256.txt.
