knobs 0.3.0

knobs runs the mic filter chain you tuned in OBS Studio and sends it to a virtual audio cable, so your other apps get the same processed mic while OBS stays closed.

What's new in 0.3.0

• A new setup window walks you through your mic, its filters and your cable, with short walkthroughs of OBS and of installing VB-Cable.
• With no virtual cable on your PC, the installer offers to install VB-Cable, with VB-Audio's own setup.
• knobs can check for new versions once a day, and the installed copy can update itself. Both are off until you turn them on.
• The cable you choose stays yours: knobs no longer follows OBS's monitoring device once you've picked one.
• Small fixes and polish.

• knobs-0.3.0-setup.exe: the installer. It installs for your Windows account only and needs no admin rights. With no virtual cable on your PC, it offers to install VB-Cable, VB-Audio's donationware cable from www.vb-cable.com.
• knobs-0.3.0-portable.zip: the portable copy. Unzip it anywhere: it keeps its settings and its data in its own folder.

You need 64-bit Windows, OBS Studio 32.2 or 33 with your mic set up in it, and a virtual cable such as VB-Cable. The setup guide has the steps.

knobs is signed by Daniel Alyoshin, through Azure Artifact Signing. Windows SmartScreen may still warn about a new release until enough people have run it. Choose More info, then Run anyway.
