What’s new

• A setup assistant guides first launch through permissions and preparing the on-device speech model. Reopen it anytime from the menu.
• The menu groups recording, audio, permissions, and app settings, with a retry button if model preparation fails.
• The recording overlay stays visible through transcription and shows a progress indicator.

Reliability and performance

• Consecutive dictations wait for the previous capture to stop and transcribe in recording order. You can still record the next clip while an earlier clip transcribes.
• Audio mixdown reuses buffers, preserves track alignment across partial reads, and keeps sustained loud audio within the limiter’s ceiling.
• Closely spaced transcriptions preserve the original clipboard when restoring it after pasting.
• Function-key shortcut labels display correctly. Escape cancels shortcut capture, and an unmodified key lets you try again.

Downloads

The DMG and ZIP contain the signed, notarized universal app for Apple Silicon and Intel Macs running macOS 14 or later. The DMG is also separately notarized. SHA-256 checksums are included.

Transcription continues to run on-device. Model weights download during initial setup and are not bundled with the app.

Build 11. Validation: app build and all 12 tests passed, including six new audio and queue regression tests.
