Custom Hook Block 2.1.0
Custom Hook Block 2.1.0 adds optional interaction inside PHP-rendered editor previews. Select an opted-in component and turn on Interact to use buttons and Ajax. Escape returns to editing. Each preview owns its listeners and pending requests, with cleanup when settings or content change.
Developers enable this with interactive: true in PHP and a trusted editor initializer. Existing hooks, renderers and saved blocks retain their behavior. See the README and Code Snippets Ajax example.
Includes refreshed banner, icon and a real interactive editor screenshot. Download custom-hook-block-2.1.0.zip to install.
Validation: 109 PHP runtime/integration checks and 26 JavaScript lifecycle checks pass. Build and lint pass. Plugin Check found no errors in the exact ZIP fileset; all 23 packaged files match the release commit. Real post-editor Ajax, saved settings refresh, Escape and independent instances were checked.
Limitations: five Plugin Check runtime asset checks were unavailable in Studio; minimum WordPress/PHP versions have not been tested separately. A separate Site Editor interaction check was blocked by unavailable browser security verification. WordPress.org submission remains pending.

Custom Hook Block 2.0.0
Custom Hook Block 2.0.0 combines the original Custom Hook Block with Registered Render Blocks.
- Keep existing PHP
add_actioncallbacks and explicitly register their display hooks withchb_register_hook. - Edit typed settings and native block styles, with PHP previews in the editor and on the site.
- Preserve both saved block identities and the existing
rrb_registration APIs. - New blocks start empty. No default background box or padding is imposed.
- Includes migration guidance, PHP/Code Snippets and Ajax examples, real screenshots, banner and icon assets.
Upgrade: register each existing display hook first. Unregistered hooks produce no frontend output. Deactivate the separate Registered Render Blocks plugin before using Custom Hook Block. Existing Registered Render Blocks content does not need to be rewritten.
Validation: 68 runtime checks, 10 site-adapter checks, both coactivation load orders, build/lint, real editor insertion/save/reload and frontend Ajax checks passed. Plugin Check 2.1.0 passed 29 static checks on the exact ZIP fileset. Five runtime asset checks were unavailable in Studio; direct served-page checks were used. Tested on WordPress 7.1.2/PHP 8.4; minimum-version runtime matrix remains untested.
WordPress.org approval has not been obtained. The ZIP attached here is the installable package; source archives also contain development files. See readme.txt for the changelog and README.md for migration details.
Registered Render Blocks 0.1.0
Initial release of Registered Render Blocks.
Use trusted PHP renderers as editable WordPress blocks, with typed settings, native styling and authorized server previews. Includes a working Notice renderer and a developer registration API.
The repository includes the banner, icons, real editor screenshot, editable SVG artwork, build source and runtime tests. Download the attached ZIP to install in WordPress.
Validation: package contents match this release commit; Plugin Check 2.1.0 reports zero findings across 29 static checks. The unchanged runtime code passed 37 tests on WordPress 7.1.2/PHP 8.4, plus real editor save/reload and frontend checks. Five Plugin Check runtime asset checks were unavailable in Studio; direct frontend asset checks were used instead. The declared minimum-version matrix has not been tested separately.
This is a GitHub release. WordPress.org submission and approval remain pending.
See readme.txt for the changelog.
