2. Configuration (both firmwares)

Settings shared by bridge and internal firmware, Configuration page. Saving stages values; Restart to Apply Changes activates them. Passwords are never served back — empty means keep.

  • WiFi Credentials — SSID, password, optional BSSID, with a network scanner. First setup via captive portal: see 1. Quickstart.
  • General — Thing Name (used as the Home Assistant device name), AP mode password.
  • Connection — optional static IP (address, gateway, netmask, DNS 1/2); DHCP by default.
  • HTTP — custom response headers, one per line (Name: Value).

Firmware-specific settings: bus timing and behavior (6.1), MQTT (6.4), Home Assistant (6.5), SNTP (6. overview: Time section).

Factory reset

Wipes stored configuration in NVS (WiFi, bus, MQTT, and other settings). Commands are stored separately in LittleFS and are not removed by a factory reset; wipe them separately if needed.

  1. Look up RESET_PIN for your adapter — see A. Hardware revisions. Note: the pin changed across software versions; if the documented value doesn't work, try ESP-RX/FROM-EBUS.
  2. Disconnect the device from the bus.
  3. Bridge RESET_PIN to GND with a wire.
  4. Reconnect the device to the bus.
  5. Wait 5 seconds.
  6. Remove the wire.
