6.1 eBUS configuration

This page covers the bus fields of the Configuration page, section Bus. (WiFi, MQTT, and other sections are described in their own chapters.) Changes apply after restart — use Restart to Apply Changes.

PWM (pwmValue)

Drive strength of the transmit circuit. Range 1–255, default 130. Hardware-dependent; change only if telegrams you send are garbled while received ones are clean (and rule out wiring first).

Address (ebusAddress)

Own participant address on the bus (hex, e.g. 30). Default ff. ff is reserved for service devices — set an address suitable for your environment that no other device uses. Duplicate addresses corrupt arbitration for both parties.

Bus Window (busWindow, µs)

Length of the arbitration window after SYN. Range 4250–4500, default 4250. Protocol-defined timing — leave at default unless you know exactly why you are changing it.

Bus Offset (busOffset, µs)

Sampling offset inside the bit time. Range 0–200, default 100. Same advice as window: defaults are correct for standard hardware.

Startup & responses

  • Inquiry Of Existence (systemInquiry, default off) — broadcast our own inquiry at startup ("who is there").
  • Send Response (systemResponse, default on) — answer other participants' inquiries of existence with a sign-of-life response. Turning this off does not disable the adapter's own polling or writes.
  • Scan On Startup (scanOnStartPrm, default off) — actively scan the bus for devices at boot. Useful for initial discovery; leave off in daily operation to keep the bus quiet.
