Parlance for desktop v0.2.0

@github-actions github-actions released this 19 Oct 15:55

Parlance 0.2.0 for desktop: Parlance is the general dictation app again.

  • Parlance and Hebrish are now separate apps that can be installed side by side. Parlance offers every model; Hebrish (Hebrish-ASR/Hebrish-Dictation) is for the English-Hebrew code-switching model.
  • Ubuntu 26.04: sudo apt install ./parlance_0.2.0-1_amd64.deb. If you installed Hebrish 0.1.1 or 0.1.2 (package parlance), this upgrades it and keeps its settings and models. Default hotkey F13; Hebrish's is F14.
  • Windows (untested on real hardware): Parlance-v0.2.0-windows-x64.zip. Unzip it and run Parlance.exe. It is unsigned, so SmartScreen may warn you.
  • Also: the import from Voice To Hebrish carries over transcript history.

@github-actions github-actions released this 19 Oct 15:56

Parlance 0.2.0 for Android: Parlance is the general dictation app again.

  • Parlance and Hebrish are now separate apps. Parlance offers every model (stock Parakeet and the fine-tunes); Hebrish (Hebrish-ASR/Hebrish-Dictation) is for the English-Hebrew code-switching model.
  • App ID com.danielrosehill.parlance. If you installed Hebrish 0.1.1 or 0.1.2, this update installs over it: those builds used Parlance's app ID. Hebrish 0.2.0 and later have their own app ID and install alongside.
  • Otherwise unchanged from 0.1.0: choose the model, ~660 MB per model from Hugging Face, the Try it notepad, model updates with SHA-256 checks.
  • arm64-v8a only. Android 9+. Recommended with HeliBoard.
