Jotter v0.1.0

Jotter puts small, always-visible note windows on your Linux desktop. Type like it's paper, or press / for headings, to-dos, quotes and code blocks. Every note is plain markdown on disk.

This version is an initial release built specifically for GNOME + Bazzite, so there may be issues outside of this specific configuration. I'm still actively developing this and hope to add additional features, do additional testing, and release packages for other Linux distros.

Downloads & compatibility

Three package formats are attached below (all x86_64):

• AppImage — recommended for Bazzite, and works on most modern Linux distros generally. No install, no root. Download it, then chmod +x Jotter_0.1.0_amd64.AppImage and run it with ./Jotter_0.1.0_amd64.AppImage.
• .deb — for Debian/Ubuntu-based distros (Debian, Ubuntu, Mint, Pop!_OS, etc.): sudo apt install ./jotter_0.1.0_amd64.deb
• .rpm — for traditional (non-atomic) Fedora/RHEL/openSUSE-based distros: sudo dnf install ./jotter-0.1.0-1.x86_64.rpm. Not for Bazzite/other rpm-ostree hosts — use the AppImage there instead.

Only tested on GNOME + Bazzite so far. If you try it on something else, I'd love to hear how it goes.
