Boost is a large, peer-reviewed collection of portable C++ libraries that both fills gaps in the standard library and serves as a proving ground for features—many of which (like smart pointers, regex, and filesystem) later get adopted into the C++ standard itself.
Precompiled Boost 1.92.0 XCFramework for arm64 tvOS devices and arm64/x86_64 tvOS Simulator. Includes all headers, compiled-component inventories, CMake and pkg-config metadata.
- Boost 1.92.0 upstream release page
- C++ language standard: C++20
- Minimum tvOS version: 9.0
Included compiled libraries
boost_chrono— Compiled date and time duration support.boost_date_time— Compiled date/time library retained for build compatibility.boost_filesystem— Compiled Filesystem v4 support.boost_graph— Compiled Graph algorithms.boost_locale— Compiled localization backends without optional ICU packaging.boost_random— Compiled random_device implementation.boost_thread— Portable threading primitives.boost_context— Architecture-specific fcontext implementation.boost_nowide— Compiled UTF-8 adapters.boost_json— Compiled parser and DOM support.boost_serialization— Compiled archive support.boost_url— Compiled URL parser.boost_container— Compiled polymorphic memory resources.boost_log— Compiled logging core and setup support.boost_stacktrace— Compiled portable basic backend only.boost_timer— Compiled CPU timer.boost_type_erasure— Compiled dynamic binding support.boost_cobalt— Compiled C++20 coroutine library carried forward from Boost 1.84.boost_charconv— Compiled locale-independent numeric conversion library required by Boost.MySQL.boost_atomic— Compiled dependency/support archive staged by selected libraries.boost_exception— Compiled support archive; public API is predominantly header-based.boost_log_setup— Compiled Log setup support archive.boost_wserialization— Compiled wide-character Serialization support archive.
All Boost headers are included. Header-only facilities remain available even
when their related compiled library is not part of the combined static binary.
Release features and exclusions
C++20 and the existing tvOS 9.0 deployment target are retained. The official
archive SHA-256 is 5c1d40cb8e19adbf740a4ec2da35b3e58f3f5804b1dce44deb53df72193cbc6c.
The official release notes and archive build files were inspected. No new
accepted library is listed. Container adds hub; concurrent and non-concurrent
flat-container range changes belong to Unordered. Separate named regression
results cover hub, both flat range APIs, Decimal decomposition, Lockfree bounded
ticket queue, and System void unwrap. The complete reference suite is retained.
Legacy tvOS chrono, date_time, filesystem, graph, random, and thread are retained.
Regex and System now provide header-only APIs; Signals was removed upstream and
Signals2 is included. The manifest also selects the modern reference compiled
libraries, subject to the validation record. Cobalt's optional IO/TLS archives
are not selected. Redis uses its upstream separate-compilation headers, with
only offline tests; no Redis archive is claimed. All upstream headers ship.
Apple SDK paths, compiler targets, XCFramework slice identifiers, UIKit app
settings, CocoaPods, SwiftPM and CMake all target tvOS. B2 uses target-os=iphone
for the Apple embedded OS family; explicit AppleTV SDKs and target triples
must determine the actual Mach-O tvOS platform.
Device and Simulator validation
- Official archive SHA-256: passed against the cached official archive.
- Upstream release notes and build-model inspection: passed.
- Previous-release gate: incomplete legacy 1.59 release; maintainer explicitly
authorized advancing on 2026-09-18. - Local device arm64 and Simulator arm64/x86_64 artifacts: passed checksum,
architecture, required-symbol and metadata validation. - Canonical XCFramework, SwiftPM and CocoaPods consumer tests: pending.
- Local tvOS Simulator terminal runtime report: passed (
Boost 1_92and
ALL TESTS PASSED); CI rerun pending after the validator fix. - Physical Apple TV terminal runtime report: pending; compilation is not runtime.
- Final ZIP checksum and local commit: pending.
- Publication, remote tag and registry submission: not authorized or performed.
