gitmoire v0.9.0
🚀 Major Features
-
Find the breaking commit with bisect on the graph. Start bisect
from a commit's right-click menu or the palette, then mark each
checked-out commit Good, Bad or Skip from the sticky banner. Good,
bad, current and skipped commits wear markers on the graph, the run
survives tab switches and restarts, a dirty tree blocks the start,
and the finish names the first bad commit with jump-to-commit and
copy-hash actions plus Reset to restore the branch. No new
single-key bindings — banner buttons, graph menu rows and palette
entries only. -
Recover anything lost with the reflog time-machine. The palette's
reflog browser lists HEAD and branch entries paged with an
unreachable-only filter for commits no branch reaches. Each row
restores as arecovered/<short>branch by default, offers detached
checkout, or resets hard behind a confirm with a dirty-tree check
and an undo entry. A banner notes entries expire when git
garbage-collects them. -
Let AI draft the conflict merge you still control. The conflict
resolver gains per-hunk Suggest next to Explain plus Suggest all
with a progress count and Stop. Suggestions arrive as ghost previews
with Accept, Edit and Discard through the existing pick path, never
auto-accept and never auto-stage. Marker leaks, code fences, empty
output and binary or lockfile hunks are rejected, and the first
suggestion per session discloses the lines sent with the provider
choice respected. -
The app updates itself. gitmoire checks the signed updater feed
from the public releases repo on startup and on a schedule, and
offers a Software update section in Settings with Check now, an
automatic-check toggle, interval choices, and a skipped-version
reset. When a newer version lands, a dialog shows the release notes
with Update, Skip version and Later; downloading verifies the
signature then restarts into the new version. Silent checks respect
a skipped version instead of nagging.
✨ Enhancements
-
Six new Dark Magic themes. Grimoire and Moonmilk for light
surfaces, Kraken, Phosphor, Magenta and Synthwave for dark ones —
each with tuned lane palettes, all previewed beside the UI swatches
and selectable in Settings → Appearance. -
Choose what the sidebar shows. Settings → Appearance lists every
sidebar section — branches, agents, worktrees, pull requests,
issues, remotes, tags, stashes and submodules — with toggles to
hide what you never use and a reset back to defaults. Hidden
sections stay out of the way without losing their data. -
Clone from your own list. The clone dialog gains a panel
that lists your repositories from the connected GitHub account with
search-as-you-type filtering and one-click URL select. No account
yet shows an inline token connect instead of sending you to
Settings first.
🐛 Fixes
-
Staging hundreds of files no longer freezes the app. The file
explorer used to re-walk the whole working tree after every stage
and discard; it now refreshes only when files actually appear or
disappear, so staging large selections stays responsive. One
unreadable path also no longer fails the entire batch — the rest
still stages, and the files that were skipped are named. -
Bulk stage and discard finish the batch. A single bad path used
to abort the whole stage before the index was written and folder
paths were rejected outright. Bulk calls now stage what they can,
expand folders, and report the rest, while discarding a selection
runs in one backend pass with leftover reporting instead of one
IPC round-trip per file.
