Fix in this release

Fixes 500 plugin call executor.execute_stream returned 1 for large Claude Code conversations. CRAP now sends a compact internal routing envelope instead of duplicating the complete conversation across the plugin boundary. The provider request retains the original conversation, requested model, output limit and selected account.

Regression coverage exercises 13 MiB requests in both streaming and non-streaming mode and verifies one provider dispatch, intact conversation content and no routing placeholder in the provider request. Local compatibility and recovery tests passed with official CLIProxyAPI v8.0.24 and v8.0.27.

This is a CRAP gateway fix; no CLIProxyAPI source changes or account reauthorization are required. Deploy all matching CRAP release references together. The independently installed CLIProxyAPI version does not need to be downgraded.

CRAP for one owner, one active proxy and personally owned Claude subscriptions. Linux amd64.

This release passed the complete checks and candidate scan gates. CRAP images are published to GHCR; CLIProxyAPI and PostgreSQL remain independent upstream dependencies.

Download compose.ghcr.json, published-images.json and GHCR-SHA256SUMS for digest-pinned installation. The full candidate archive retains the matching source, images, dependency inventories and scan evidence; verify it with RELEASE-SHA256SUMS.

See the source's getting-started guide for installation and personal-use/account-risk notices. Back up your workspace before upgrading. This release does not deploy or change any running Argo application.

@github-actions github-actions released this 12 Oct 17:12

CRAP for one owner, one active proxy and personally owned Claude subscriptions. Linux amd64.

This release adds LAN-aware client setup and an optional certificate-authenticated LAN entrypoint. The shell can select the configured LAN route before launching Claude, with Tailscale fallback. The strict gateway now supports authenticated model discovery.

It also fixes proxy startup with existing persisted configuration, compresses panel assets, and lets ledger/routing pages load without waiting for unrelated startup requests.

The complete release checks, integration/recovery tests and candidate scan gates passed. The exact tested CRAP images are published to GHCR. CLIProxyAPI and PostgreSQL remain independently maintained dependencies.

Use published-images.json and GHCR-SHA256SUMS for immutable deployment references. The full candidate archive includes matching images, source, inventories and scan evidence. Verify it with RELEASE-SHA256SUMS.

The optional LAN listener requires private server/client certificates and an ingress allowlist. It does not replace API-key checks or open proxy management. See the LAN deployment guide, including the optional application-scoped Cilium policy where required.

Back up the workspace before upgrading. Single-replica updates can interrupt active responses. Publishing this release does not directly deploy or restart a workspace; configured GitOps automation may pick it up. See the README for personal-use and account-risk notices.

Dashboard lists now use ten-row pagination, keeping the interface manageable as request history and accounts grow.

  • Ledger cost estimates and the price catalog appear before recent request history.
  • Request and routing-decision history stays stable while browsing older pages; Show latest resumes the current view.
  • Price catalog search filters all loaded rates by model, provider or tier.
  • Accounts, quotas, models, client keys, connected computers, plugins and ledger breakdowns use pagination too. Search resets to the first matching page, and deleting entries cannot leave an empty out-of-range page.
  • The recent-request and decision views retain their existing 50-record limits. Ledger totals still cover all recorded usage; pagination does not delete or truncate stored data.
  • No database migration or inference-routing change is required. Update CRAP image pins and matching chart references together using the attached published-images.json.

Linux amd64 prerelease for one owner and personally owned Claude subscriptions. CLIProxyAPI and PostgreSQL remain separately installed dependencies. See installation, intended use and account risks, and release status.

Release assets contain the checked candidate, digest-pinned Compose references, published image identities and checksums. GitHub Actions builds, validates and scans the candidate before publishing those exact images to GHCR.

The Check latest version action now works when CLIProxyAPI runs behind CRAP's restricted outbound gateway. CRAP's panel reads the official public GitHub release endpoint directly instead of asking the inference proxy to contact GitHub.

  • Successful checks are cached for five minutes; simultaneous checks share one request.
  • Workspace credentials are never forwarded to GitHub. Existing panel access checks remain enforced, redirects are rejected, and failures return a safe error.
  • Proxy egress restrictions, account routing and upstream CLIProxyAPI are unchanged.
  • No database migration is required. Update all CRAP image pins and the matching chart references together using the attached published-images.json.

@darki73 darki73 released this 12 Oct 11:10

First public alpha of CRAP (Control Room for Agentic Proxy), for one owner using personally owned Claude subscriptions with Claude Code.

Included

  • Dashboard for accounts, quota, client keys, routing and token accounting.
  • Conversation affinity with quota reserves and durable usage delivery.
  • Tailscale access, Telegram notifications and client enrollment.
  • PostgreSQL setup and encrypted workspace backup/restore.
  • Three CRAP Linux amd64 images: panel, gateway and control. CLIProxyAPI and PostgreSQL remain independently distributed services.

Install

Use the source at this tag with the attached compose.ghcr.json. It pins all CRAP images by registry digest. Verify the two deployment files against GHCR-SHA256SUMS before use.

git clone --branch v0.1.0-alpha.1 --depth 1 https://github.com/darki73/crap.git
cd crap
gh release download v0.1.0-alpha.1 --repo darki73/crap --pattern compose.ghcr.json --pattern published-images.json --pattern GHCR-SHA256SUMS
sha256sum -c GHCR-SHA256SUMS
docker compose -f deploy/compose.yaml -f compose.ghcr.json up -d --no-build --wait --wait-timeout 180

Open http://localhost:13000. The checked client API is http://localhost:18317. On Windows, use Linux containers; checksum verification can use Get-FileHash -Algorithm SHA256 against the attached checksum file.

The attached candidate archive retains the three CRAP images, matching committed source, dependency inventories, scan evidence and checksums. It contains no upstream proxy/database image or local workspace data. Keep the digest override and matching source with your backups.

Validation and scope

The publication workflow passed the full checks, disposable official-proxy compatibility and recovery tests, fresh artifact scans, checksums and exact image/revision checks before uploading to GHCR. All three images are anonymously accessible, their registry digests match the scanned candidate, and CRAP artifact blockers are zero. External proxy/database findings remain visible in the evidence and do not block CRAP artifact publication.

This is a pre-release for evaluation, not a high-availability or multi-user release. Linux amd64 is the validated platform. Kubernetes recipes require a rehearsal against your own cluster; active-active replicas and zero-downtime upgrades are unsupported.

Personal use and account risk

Use only accounts you personally own. No resale, rental, pooled subscriptions or access for other people is intended or endorsed. Ownership does not establish provider permission to proxy or rotate subscriptions. We would prefer supported account-switching and usage tools from providers themselves. CRAP is not endorsed by providers and does not promise account safety; CRAP and its developers accept no responsibility for account restrictions, suspensions or bans. Read the personal-use guide and provider terms before connecting an account.
