This release is the first external release of the Mapbits software. In contrast to version 2 and 3, which consisted of a single item plugin incorporating its own javascript mapping library (Openlayers / Oracle HTML Maps respectively), this version of Mapbits is a series of plugins created to give the new APEX Map Region the same functionality as Mapbits version 2 / 3. This includes the ability to use a map region for spatial data entry, as well as other features such as geocoding, and web mapping support.
