With this release, Mapbits is adding a revision number to the major and minor version numbers. If a release is needed to make minor fixes or if the application needs to be updated without widespread changes to most of the plugins, then this revision number will be incremented, leaving the major and minor version numbers the same. Plugin version numbers will not add a revision number and instead keep the existing major_version.minor_version.yyyyymmdd format they currently use (where yyyymmdd is the numerical four digit year, followed by two-digit date, and 2 digit month).
General Changes
- Fixed structure of the release zip file.
- Removed the documentation from the zip file to reduce size. The included Readme.txt file has a link back to the same documentation.
Demo Application
- Consolidated geotiff sample data to reduce demo application size.
- Added missing installation and deinstallation scripts to the demo application.
GeoRaster
- Modified plugin to use the Georaster's embedded NoData value when calculating statistics and rendering nodata areas in DEMs. If the GeoRaster doesn't have a defined NoData value, then "negative infinity" is used for this purpose..
- Changed the warp resampling algorithm from bilinear to nearest neighbor to remove invalid values adjacent to nodata areas in DEMs.
- Switched to using a GeoRaster's existing statistics for rendering instead calculating statistics each time. The plugin now only calculates statistics if the GeoRaster does not have any,
