The current state of the cubes system is a prototype which can be improved. It is running quite stable in production at the FFT site but during usage some flaws on app usage, cube control, sensor stability and communication were detected. Feel free to improve the app and let us know.

• MUX:
  • sometimes not working with 4 NFC readers when channel 0 is connected...
  • Workaround: Channel 4 to 7 as alterantives for 0 to 3
• Sensorboard deployment by docker
  • lasts bvery long until all components are downloaded (platformio)
    • network speed ?
• sensor fusion
  • combine positional tracking data with IMU and optical flow sensor
    • where ? server has positions, cubes has sensor data, positions are slower tha sensor data, cube-side sensor fusion seems appropiate
• continuous integration & deployment
  • for easier deployment such a pipeline could be included with little effort.

Troubleshooting

IF:

• no sensor readings in web app (expert)
  • THEN: power off the cube (disconnect battery) and turn on again (connect battery)
