Declares PHP 8.6 support. The php constraint gains ~8.6.0; the floor is unchanged. CI now runs 8.6 with PHP platform requirements ignored there, because upstream laminas packages still cap PHP at ~8.5.0.

No src/ changes. Under 8.6.0RC2 no deprecation originates in this package.

Also ships the already-merged widening of sibling constraints, which adds the new fork majors as alternative arms. Existing ranges are untouched.

1.8.1

Normalized CI tooling and added a monthly dependabot configuration. Removed the tracked .coveralls.yml, and started ignoring /.phpunit.cache/ — the rule only covered the pre-10 .phpunit.result.cache name.

Test doubles that configure no expectations are now stubs, and six with('config') constraints gained an invocation count, so the argument assertions are actually checked. ConfigWriterFactoryTest builds its container per test rather than sharing one from setUp.

Development tooling now at phpunit ^11.0 || ^12.0 || ^13.0, psalm ^6.14, laminas-coding-standard ^3.1.

No runtime behaviour changes. The only src/ edits are #[Override] attributes and their imports, so this is a patch release.

Supported PHP

~8.2.0 || ~8.3.0 || ~8.4.0 || ~8.5.0 — adds 8.5, drops 8.1.

Changes

• psr/container moved from require-dev to require at ^1.1 || ^2.0. It is imported by four src/Factory classes, so it was a production dependency that only resolved transitively.
• Dependency floors raised to releases covering the whole supported range: laminas-modulemanager ^2.19, laminas-stdlib ^3.21.
• vimeo/psalm ^5.0 → ^6.0. Psalm 5 caps at ~8.3.0 and cannot run on 8.4 or 8.5.
• psalm-baseline.xml regenerated for psalm 6; three dead InternalMethod suppressions removed from psalm.xml.dist.
• config.platform.php 8.1.99 → 8.2.99.
• CI: .laminas-ci.json now excludes doc linting instead of ignoring platform requirements; removed release-on-milestone-closed.yml.

No src/ changes.

CI green on 8.2, 8.3, 8.4 and 8.5 across locked, lowest and latest.
