Breaking change: Swift Package Manager products

The TrustKitDynamic and TrustKitStatic library products have been removed. TrustKit is now the only product, and SwiftPM and Xcode link it statically. This was a simplification change only.

If your project still depends on either removed product, package resolution fails with:

product 'TrustKitDynamic' required by package '…' target '…' not found in package 'TrustKit'

Xcode shows "Missing package product 'TrustKitDynamic'".

To migrate:

  • Package.swift: depend on .product(name: "TrustKit", package: "TrustKit").
  • Xcode project: in the target's Frameworks, Libraries, and Embedded Content, remove the missing product and add TrustKit.

If you used TrustKitStatic, nothing else changes.

If you used TrustKitDynamic so that your app and a framework it embeds could share one copy of TrustKit, add TrustKit to only one of them. If both link it, each gets its own copy with its own configuration. App extensions run in their own process and are unaffected.

New

  • Releases now include a static XCFramework, TrustKit-static.zip, for iOS, macOS, tvOS and watchOS devices and simulators. Add it with Embed & Sign so Xcode copies TrustKit's privacy manifest into your app.
