What's New

Live Map

• CARTO tiles replaced with Esri Canvas basemaps — CARTO discontinued free anonymous access to their basemap CDN, which started showing an "API KEY REQUIRED" watermark over the Dark/Light/Voyager map styles. Dark/Light now use Esri's free World_Dark_Gray_Base/World_Light_Gray_Base (+ labels overlay), Voyager uses World_Street_Map — same no-key ArcGIS service already used for Satellite/Terrain
• Trail gap detection — live map, replay, and live-dwell trails now break and reset after a >5 minute gap between position updates
• Trail glitch filtering — a new trail point is skipped if it implies >900kt groundspeed from the previous one, filtering GPS jump artifacts

Access

• Dashboard reachable by hostname, not just IP (e.g. http://raspberrypi.local:8081) — nginx now uses a proper default_server / server_name _ catch-all. Suggested by @vesatikkanen in #1

Dashboard Fixes

• Update checker no longer misreads pre-release versions — was mistaking 1.4.3-beta for an older 1.4.0, causing a false "update available" notice
• Settings dropdowns (poll interval / retention) no longer get stuck on a "Loading..." placeholder after config loads

Performance

• Heatmap query no longer full-scans the positions table on large databases — cutoff timestamp is computed once and passed as a literal, restoring index usage
